WWE Releases Four Wrestling Talent

WWE has reportedly let go of a number of developmental talent in the last week including former NXT star Eli Cottonwood who requested a release and was granted. Cottonwood has now accepted a job offer outside of the wrestling industry. Profiles removed from the FCW webside (indicating a release) include:

- Jiro: He had trained in Japan at former WWE superstar Taka Michinoku's Kaientai Dojo.
- Benicio Salazar: Formerly worked in Mexico under a mask as El Hijo del Medico Asesino.
- Sonny Elliot, who was from Australia.
Traditionally, cuts from the main roster follow developmental releases and WWE is late in releasing talent post WrestleMania this year. A theory is that WWE not keen on releasing main roster talent as not to effect Linda McMahon's political campaign which is promoting job growth.
