I'm really tired of the AI kicking out of finishers

This happens way too frequently. I go through a match against someone, beat them down pretty heavily, hit them with a finisher, only for them to kick out.

Is there a slider that adjusts the damage the CPU takes vs. human? I have the Finisher damage all the way up, and that still hasn't helped. Ezekiel Jackson is kicking out of 2 Cross Rhodes in a match, and Brock Lesnar can't get a win because the F5 won't keep anyone down.

I find it pretty good this year. But then again last year we could pin guys after a suplex and that was our first move.

That's true, last year I didn't even need to hit a finisher.

But it is frustrating to be dominate an entire match, hit 2 finishers through the course of the match, the AI continues to kick out, and then picks up a cheap victory off one move, or a finisher they got because they countered yours.

The matches are much more unpredictable this way. And that's the way a lot matches go in WWE anyway. Last year it was way too easy to defeat Undertaker with someone like Yoshi Tatsu. I had to artificially extend the matches. This year they flow nicely and I'm satisfied with most outcomes.

I dunno, I'm not talking about Yoshi Tatsu beating Undertaker.

I get your point, but when I'm Brock Lesnar, or Triple H, and it's late in a match, I expect my finisher to be just that - a finisher. It makes it real hard to be able to push guys that I wanna push when I can get my finisher off 2, sometimes even 3 times in a match, and that's still not enough. Meanwhile, all it takes from the CPU end is to do a finisher and a couple moves and I'm done.

I just did a ton of last man standing matches and I became a pro at timing the kick out meter. The kick out meter is pretty inconsistent when it pops up though. Sometimes its there before the one count and sometimes after.

Ya the AI pinning you for a 3 count after a few moves and a finisher is lame. But hopefully they have worked on that for wwe13. Far as certain guys kicking out after been hit with 1 or 2 finishers. It has been happening alot lately in the WWE. So that is spot on. But what the AI does to the human control wrestler needs to be fixed.

Re: I'm really tired of the AI kicking out of finishers

It's a lack in balance in damage done, which I don't want, and there is no slider for damage taken by AI v. damage taken by the player. I only play on damage because I like how aggressive the CPU is on Legend compared to the other difficulty levels, but there is a lack of balance in the damage output.

And really, that's why I have a problem with the AI kicking out of so many finishers, is that it's nothing more than the AI being able to take more damage.

Yea, there are a lot of people kicking out of finishers, but it's typically only main event, and it's typical finishers that are early in the match. When the match has been going on for some time, I have been pretty dominate, I get my finisher, and it's finishers like the F5 or the Pedigree, I expect that to end the match. People aren't kicking out of the Pedigree unless it's Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

But they kick out of a finisher, do like 2 moves, somehow that gives them their finisher (I've seen it, and I'm just like WTF???) and then they put me out for the count.

I feel that if I put Finisher Damage all the way up, a finisher should end the match. Otherwise, what's the point of that slider?

Re: I'm really tired of the AI kicking out of finishers

One thing I've done to make finishers more significant and also to make the game more enjoyable for myself is, in addition to increasing finisher damage, I also reduced the momentum charge rate. I think I have it set to its lowest possible value. This results in more moves and taunts needed to earn a signature + super finisher / stored finisher, but also results results in longer matches overall.

In my experience it also specifically makes taking on the Big Show very difficult, lol.

I think we can also all agree that it's ridiculous that 4 Last Rides and 5 Tombstone Piledrivers to Brodus Clay from Undertaker aren't enough to keep Clay down long enough for Undertaker to escape a steel cage...
