Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

I've picked up my universe yet again. My Raw show is WWF Raw is War and contains any wrestler from the Attitude era with some Caws like Jericho and Benoit thrown in. Smackdown is all of the current superstars.

I play all of the Raw and Smackdown cards and don't edit them, just them play out and create some storylines. For the PPVs I will fully edit them so they are a) Good! b) Make sense. All PPV matches are cpu vs cpu which keeps it exciting and keeps me from 'picking' champions by using them.

This was my Extreme Rules PPV that I just completed. I can't believe who my WWF Champion is!

Intercontinental Championship Falls Count Anywhere – Chris Jericho defeats Chris Benoit and Kane

World Tag Team Titles – Otunga & McGillicutty © defeat The United Kingdom

United States Championship Triple Threat Tables Match - Wade Barrett © defeats Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes

Grudge Match - Rey Mysterio defeats Jack Swagger w/ R Truth

WWF Championship Fatal Four Way Extreme Rules – Kevin Nash © defeats the Undertaker, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels

WWE Championship Triple Threat Extreme Rules – The Miz ©defeats Randy Orton and John Cena

I might create a Kliq faction now that Nash is Champion.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Just had an interesting series of events before Hell in a Cell.
My game books Jeff Hardy (WHC) vs Jim Ross non title. So to be crazy I book a title match. Before match Cole comes and cheap shots Ross. Even with that Ross comes back and beats me, JIM ROSS IS YOUR WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
But at HIAC it books it AGAIN for the WHC so I change to Ross v Lesnar and destroy Good Old J.R.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

This is easily the most fun i've had playing a wrestling game in a long, long time. This Universe mode keeps me coming back for more.

Over The Limit

Intercontinental Championship - Iron Man
Kofi def Sheamus (C) (ME)

Great Iron Man match which Kofi dominated throughout, he took a 2-0 lead before I got my first pinfall. Kofi then made it 3-1 before I pulled back to 3-2 with less than 1 minute left. I went all out to get a late draw and with 20 seconds left I thought I had him only to accidentally take the ref out, then with seconds left I went for a last ditch fall away slam only for Kofi to reverse and see the match out with me slumped in the corner.

WWE Tag Team Championship - Ladder
LOD (C) (me) def The Corre

Pretty short Ladder match, Gabriel had the first chance of pulling the belt down before Animal pulled him down, Hawk then claimed the belts for LOD to retain their titles.

United States Championship
Cody (C) def Bryan

Cody retains his title in a simmed match.

Smackdown Vs Raw 6 Man Tag
Big Show, Punk, Orton def Cena, HHH, Edge

Punk scores the pinfall for the Smackdown team in this simmed filler match used just to get these guys on the card.

WWE Championship - Last Man Standing
Austin (C) (me) def Henry

An easy win for Austin, a combination of the steel steps and a stunner getting the job done quickly. Henry's cause wasn't helped though by John Morrison attacking him before the bell.

World Heavyweight Championship
Brock (C) (me) def The Rock

This was an epic match, Brock was able to defend his title for the third straight PPV in a match that saw two F5's and two Rock Bottom's. At the end both wrestlers were one big move away from winning as they both were struggling to stand, Rock looked to be about to win the belt only for Brock to reverse a power move into a back suplex to score the win. Rock ended up with the doctor out to check on him, looks like he'll be on the shelf for a while.

Perfectly jumping off the Royal Rumble...and the opening fued between HHH and Bobby Roode...

- RAW -

Zack Ryder moves on from The Miz to take on the Big Red Machine, Kane. After Kane really just beat the crap out of my Ryder, John Cena runs down the ring!!! GM Note: Make sure in your edit superstar, Cena's rival is Kane and vice versa...makes the chances more likely this will happen! Cena, unfortunately for me, didn't do much to distract Kane, as Ryder was only capable of putting together a single string of effect moves to stall the victory. Even Lawler noted that "maybe Cena's just here for a closer look" before fleeing to the back, leaving Ryder in the dust, chokeslammed to smithereans.

Since the computer put this entire RAW together, I let it run straight through....perhaps a good reason why my nontitle Dolph Ziggler vs. CM Punk rematch on RAW was so interesting. As Punk headed down towards the ramp slapping fives with friends, Kevin Nash (!!!) appeared from the crowd to give CM Punk a good wollap!!! (Anyone ever come across that cutscene yet?). While I would've preferred Jericho, I suppose this fitting surprise will do. And besides, now that Roode has completely taken over the angle with HHH, Nash needed to find something else to do! After near domination, Ziggler tricks a beaten Punk by countout.

Since the computer keeps wanting to make Santino Marella in the "Remarkable Match," I decided to let them...I just made sure it was against his Smackdown opponent from tonight, Drew McIntyre! (OK, so i had to change ONE thing...there's a severe improvement to computer booking ). So, yeah, I tried 3 times and couldn't beat Drew... haha...so much for emulating real life. Sometimes you just got to let it go....good victory for the Scot. Too bad I already shipped him off to TNA!

- Smackdown -

Remember the days when Kurt Angle used to open up Smackdown? YOU SUCKKKK!!! YOU SUCKKK!!! Well, he does here tonight and he's accompanied by Bully Ray!! See, no need to mod anything. Keep using the guys you want and it'll all shake down. And who's his opponent? Well, who else but Royal Rumble winner "Cowboy" James Storm (OK, the computer is getting really smart)...and AND ANDDDD he's attacked on the way to the ring by Jeff Jarrett!! I'm NOT making this up! After Storm loses his focus on Bully Ray outside, Angle catches the Wrestlemania contender with an Angle Slam and pinfall... Cutscene: Jeff Jarrett comes back into the ring post-match to throw Storm out of the ring. I honestly thought I was watching TNA with Jarrett holding Angle's arm up in celebration!

Since I haven't used many of the "TNA Knockouts" much at all (actually, simulated every Impact Woman's match in the past "month"), I decided to give Layla, Kharma and Michelle McCool their 3-way dance nontitle). Once again, the computer has booked everything other than the Drew McIntyre opponent for Santino. Wow. Talk about a long and deadly match. It may have gone over 15-minutes long...didn't realize it was Extreme Rules. Layla pins Kharma after Michelle knocks her out with a sledgehammer. Crazy.

Well, this Smackdown has been an entire TNA/Impact show, but I'll take it since I already booked the 2 main events from tonight's Smackdown last week on Universe. Good job CPU Mr. Andersonnnnnnnnnnn----Andersonnnnnnnnnnnn vs. "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner. What's not to love? Both of these guys have NOTHING going on in the real life show, so this works beautifully. Anderson wins the Suplexfest, even after I nailed the Pump Handle Slam and a wide range of superplexes and submissions. After Anderson went to help up Steiner after the match--bad move dude!!--Steiner decided to nail the former Mr. Kennedy where the sun don't shine, followed by jumping jacks!!!?? and the perfect Steiner taunt. OK, this game is just too damn ****ing awesome now. I mean, really.

- TNA/Impact -

Considering that I moved both Mason Ryan and Sin Cara to this fed, I didn't mind this opening feud between the two in our "X-Division". Ryan was impressive in the opening moments of the Royal Rumble match and recent tag-team matches with Joe. Just as I got my signature -- after a wide assortment of beautiful planchas and top rope corkscrews -- Mason Ryan drove my Sin Cara with an inverted Devil Driving side suplex.

OK, the computer insists that The Road Warriors and Demolition battle on Impact. I guess they're looking for a #1 contender match for my Power Trip team of Crimson and Matt Morgan. Since they beat The New Age Outlaws, WHY NOT make them a "Legend Killer" tag-team of sorts? Besides, I haven't used either team yet. Feels like the 80s, bruh. Even Lawler states in the opener, one of these teams will be looking at the Unified Tag Team Titles. Sweet. Demolition wins by a DQ. Forgot you couldn't be in the ring as the "illegal" partner for more than 5 seconds. Looks like rematch material while Power Trip will work over some more X-Division scrubs.

---OKAY HAS ANYONE RECEIVED THIS? I just got the Xbox telling me "Accessing Error" before my main event. Despite this, the game continues as usual....---

The computer is being way too smart now, booking new TNA World Champion Jeff Hardy against Jeff Jarrett nontitle, the man who probably deserves the shot at the belt considering he won the triple threat 3 weeks ago before Hardy was granted his own triple threat against JJ and Roode 2 weeks ago. Get it? Doesn't matter. Proves this rivalry is nowhere near finished, fired or not! Great match and Hardy won with a late sunset flip after plenty of top rope leaping kicks and reverse of hates/twist of fates. After the match, Bobby Roode comes out with Bully Ray and displays around the waist that the title will once again soon be his. ****tt....when the computer books the matches---and books them right for you---the amount of cutscenes is OVERHAUL.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Fatal 4-Way 2011

Tag-Team Championship
Extreme Rules Tornado Tag
Legion of Doom v. nWo

Result: In a rematch from last month, LOD met with the nWo Outsiders, Nash and Hall. It was New champions!

Woman’s Championship
Fatal Four-Way
Nikki Bella v. Trish Stratus v. Natalya v. Maryse

Result: Nikki wins via the facebuster on Natalya while Maryse and Trish were occupied.

United States Championship
Singles
Chavo Guerrero v. Goldberg ©

Result: I’m starting to think that I’m going to have to manually make Goldberg lose if I ever want someone else to be U.S. Champion. It’s June in this and he’s held the title since the week after Royal Rumble. He man-handled Chavo in a match that resulted from a CPU-driven feud between Goldberg and the Guerreros, who have formed a heel stable with Alberto Del Rio.

Intercontinental Championship
TLC
Matt Hardy v. Jeff Hardy ©

Result: The CPU broke up the Hardy Boyz by turning Jeff heel and having him constantly attack Matt. This has been going on for over a month now so the two finally meet in a tables, ladders, and chairs match for Jeff’s Intercontinental championship. I played as Jeff in this and controlled it for the most part, but man, the computer can be so stubborn sometimes. I finally won when I shoved Matt off and snagged the title after the umpteenth try. Jeff retains.

WWE Championship
Singles
Brock Lesnar v. Kurt Angle ©

Result: Lesnar got here by first losing to and then defeating Randy Orton on Smackdown in a #1 Contender’s Match that the CPU decided, after the first fall, would have a second fall. Lesnar won the second and earned himself a title shot at Angle’s WWE Championship. For reasons that baffle me, Jeff Hardy interfered during Angle’s entrance – they’re on separate shows! – and Lesnar was quick to capitalize on this. He controlled the start of the match, but Angle battled back. He hit the Angle Slam on him, but Lesnar rolled right out of the ring. He hit the ankle lock on him, but Lesnar powered out of it. Angle finally hit him with a superplex which was, for some reason, enough to put away Lesnar for the three-count. Of course, for no reason, Jeff Hardy showed up at the end of the match to do the discount doublecheck on the ramp. This is maddening. They are on separate shows and have never fought one another. What the hell, Universe? Is this my cue to have Jeff drop his IC belt, switch shows, and compete with Angle?

World Heavyweight Championship
Extreme Rules Fatal 4-Way
Triple H v. The Rock v. John Cena v. Shawn Michaels ©

Result: This was a CPU booked match that I did not edit, for once. It’s odd to have HHH and HBK against one another when I’ve done several matches with them together as DX is an active stable in this Universe. I don’t know how quite to spin that. Perhaps I end the DX reunion. It was odd to have the match open up with Steve Austin sitting in the front row, too. Haha. He has an ongoing feud with Hunter so that figures to play a role in things going forward. This was also the first HBK title defense that I decided not to play, instead letting the CPU take the reigns for a PPV. HBK and Cena kept at it most of the match with HHH and The Rock battling in and out of the ring. The weapons were implemented liberally, particularly a garbage can by HBK on Cena. It all came to an end though when HBK and Cena were tied up in a variety of moves outside the ring which gave Triple H the opportunity to hit the Pedigree on The Rock and get the pinfall. After Triple H was done celebrating, a cutscene kicked in with him assisting an injured HBK and calling for medical help.

Turn recovery waaay down for everyone involved in a ladder match. It's still not great, but it's better.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Year 2 - WrestleMania

I'm using a dream WWE roster with former and current WWE superstars and I've just completed the biggest show of the year.

Falls Count Anywhere
Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton

After a grueling brawl with weapons used all around ringside, Hardy finally gets a win over Orton (acknowledging real life) after a dive off a ladder and through a table.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

United States Championship
Drew McIntyre (c) vs CM Punk vs Wade Barrett vs Rob Van Dam

Drew eliminated RVD first with a Future Shock DDT. Barrett got the second elimination on Punk with a Wasteland and immediately afterwards McIntyre snuck in and hit a Future Shock DDT on Barrett to retain his title.

Winner and still United States Champion: Drew McIntyre

Shawn Michaels vs Cody Rhodes

In a rather uneventful match, Rhodes gets a huge win over the legend after dominating most of the match.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

WWE Championship
Christian (c) vs Brock Lesnar

Christian tried to do everything in his power to keep his title but Brock took the fight to him. Eventually, the ref was knocked out which allowed Christian to use a steel chair and land a Killswitch to retain his WWE Championship.

Winner and still WWE Champion: Christian

John Cena vs The Undertaker

Match of the night right here and the reason I say that is because it was back and forth action with both of them pounding away at each other. Undertaker managed to pull off a Last Ride on Cena through the announce table. He rolled Cena back into the ring and attempted a Tombstone but Cena reversed it and hit an Attitude Adjustment. Just when it looked like the streak was over, Taker kicked out at the last second. Undertaker continued to fight and finally got the Tombstone to finish off Cena. The streak remained in tact at 20-0!

Winner: The Undertaker

World Heavyweight Championship
Kurt Angle (c) vs Royal Rumble Winner Daniel Bryan

The main event of the evening featured two great wrestling technicians who were expected to put on a clinic but the Universe wouldn't allow it. First, Bryan attacked Angle during his entrance. Once the action got into the ring, Rhodes attacked Angle for reasons that baffled me. Bryan took advantage and locks in the Crossface to make Angle (screwed much?) tap to win the World Title. If that wasn't enough, the nWo came out and celebrated with Bryan. I guess all of it was realistic for today's standards. All I can say is that there has to be a rematch down the line.

Winner and NEW World Heavyweight Champion: Daniel Bryan

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

I just had a really great Raw, I really hope when the patch comes they have managed to fix how feuds tie in to the title picture. I have Jericho, Del Rio and Punk feuding on Raw but neither will get a title shot due to there rankings. The cpu booked a #1 contenders match with Cena, Michaels and Kane instead.

Apart from this i am loving my Universe.

Singles Match

HHH vs The Miz

**This was originally to be HHH vs Kevin Nash but the Miz attacked Nash as his music hit and replaced him against HHH. This was an outstanding match with HHH (me) kicking out the SCF, The Miz then reversed the Pedigree and when he went for a second SCF HHH reversed into the Pedigree for the win.

Singles Match

Alberto Del Rio vs CM Punk (c)

**Before the match Chris Jericho attacked Del Rio which lead to a routine win for Punk after hitting the GTS but as Punk celebrated the win Jericho who is the Royal Rumble winner attacked Punk with a lead pipe. The three have been feuding since Jericho's return to Raw. Is this a sign of who Jericho will face at Wrestlemania?

Singles Match

Stone Cold vs Chris Jericho

**Another great match that went back and forth, Austin hitting the Stunner but Jericho managed to roll out the ring. Eventually Jericho had Austin in the Walls of Jericho and CM Punk came out for revenge after being assaulted by Jericho earlier in the night. It made no difference as Jericho hit the Codebreaker for the 1-2-3.

Falls Count Anywhere - #1 Contenders Match

John Cena vs Kane vs Shawn Michaels

**A straight forward win for Cena, Cena and Michaels seemed to team together to eliminate the threat from Kane. Later in the match Michaels throws Kane back into the ring and Cena hits Michaels with the AA to pick up the win and become the #1 Contender for the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber.
