Itd be crazy. I think sports gms and playing in online leagues is all I play besides the occasional run and gun of COD.

No worries. Madden and FIFA aren't going anywhere, they make too much money bottomline. Those two games no doubt combine to make up the vast majority of sports games sales. The games that would be in trouble are niche sports that few people play and are interested in, like hockey for example. Even baseball, another sport that's losing popularity with gamers, should be around given the solid foundation SCEA has developed and nurtured the past few years. It's maybe the only sports video game that can truly be called a next-gen game, and gamers recognize it and support it for that reason among others.

One game that could be in trouble and that would be a sad to see vanish would be PES. Not that it's been much of a game the past while, but the 2013 demo is proof there's still great potential left with that series. Time will tell though if they've lost too much of their fanbase to be able to survive, due to all the missteps taken on next-gen.

NHL sells well, it always has, I don't see it going anywhere. EA could make another baseball game if they wanted to now that 2k's third party exclusive license is up as well. I don't think sports games are going anywhere. More ram in the next round of consoles should unhandcuff these dev teams a bit.

Man that is to bad. Is this similar to EA getting exclusive rights to make NFL games?

I mean i thought this whole dispute was between the people who make the games. why wouldn't the people who make the game want to sell it in multiple formats
