Do you really care where I sent this from?
I was referring to PC in particular. The PC modding community is fantastic and I was drooling over what we could do on such an excellent game. I know if you want to really rip off your customers, releasing a game to be your main cash cow for a console makes sense, but it doesn't mean I have to like it... and severely affects my decision to purchase such games. I had got an xbox to play Madden, but haven't touched it since '11, basically a waste of money, especially having to pay for a period of unused xbox live and all that crap. I think its stupid to buy a console just for one game, but whatever, seems like I'm gonna be forced down that path.

Games have made the platform crossing in the past and if there is no viable option for xbox it is possible a deal could be struck. I assume it is the video game maker who makes the money by making it only for one platform (through contracts and such), but it is possible to buy out of that contract I assume.

I can't think of many off the top of my head, but wasn't GTA originally a playstation only game? Then they went back and re-released many of those games on xbox eventually. I could be completely wrong... so correct me if I am.

Sony itself makes the Show. With GTA I think they were a separate company that eventually decided to include the Xbox. Not sure about that though since GTA 2 released for Dreamcast too.

Comparing the show to Halo or w/ever is stupid... global sales of the Show 12 have been historically over half a million, Halo Reach was at 3 million in its FIRST MONTH - big difference.

Its not like the Show is the driving factor behind PS3 sales, unlike Halo, which has always been Microsoft's major selling point for the xbox.

I hope some sort of compromise is reached, would much rather see it on PC than xbox TBH. I hope 2k can get back into the football genre, but I aint holding my breath

The sports game I play are football, MMA, baseball, and basketball in that order. I'm still playing Madden/NCAA 07 on my old xbox b/c the football titles this generation haven't been worth much imo. MMA has been better on these consoles than the previous, so I believe it'll get better.

The Show is a system seller. Obviously not as much as Halo but there are people who buy a PS3 just for the Show.

Why would Sony make it for the Xbox or PC when people can buy a PS3 or Vita and play it. It's never going to happen. Just like the original Mass Effect will never come to PS3.

You can easily turn around and say that there are a lot of people who don't buy the show because they don't have a PS3 as well!

Sony need to analyse the small increase in costs associated with releasing the game on more platforms with the detriment of potentially decreasing new purchases of PS3's, but potentially doubling sales of The Show with the slightly larger xbox market as well as tapping into a new market (PC).

I am obviously not claiming I know the answer to the question, but its not as simple as you make it out to be.

Ironic you highlight Mass Effect - the sequels were then released on the ps3 as well (obviously because the producers realised they would make more $$$).

It is as simple as that. Sony owns the Show. Sony will not make one of its game for the Xbox.

The reason Mass Effect 2 and 3 came out for the PS3 is EA owns Bioware now. Mass Effect 1 was made with Microsoft having the publishing rights.

Re: 5 troubling signs for sports game fans across the world

Put it this way if they were to stop making sport video games I really believe the market would collapse. I play 90% sports on my console's. EA would be the biggest hit battlefield would not support the company in fact I think the war games maybe getting near the end before the sport games. I mean look at all the war games out there they are not that different all you need is new maps so gamers cant camp that can be done with DLC. The only thing I see for sport games are every 2 year installments so they can make better games and fill the void in with DLC in the in between years.
