You know it. When I think of all time sports game lists that's the first, and usually only game that comes to mind. If I had to pick one video game to play the rest of my life against human opponents, it'd be Tecmo Super Bowl

Yeah, I'm shocked it didn't make the list. Just about every sports gamer old enough to have played it that I know has that title on their all-time list.

We often forget that BEST of all time is first of all subjective. Secondly, it shouldn't mean "favorite" of all time. or even "most fun" of all time. Best should mean, I would think, in terms of design, mechanics, audio/video, gameplay, control, the come-back factor (as in does it keep you coming back) should all be considered. Also there needs to be some historical relevance. People under the age of 25 may think Jordan Vs Bird sucks, but it was a pivotal game in that it was one of the first times real life intersected with sports gaming ina way that we're very familiar with now. Playing HORSE with Bird and Jordan was pretty revolutionary at the time. Just the skin tones, the numbers on the correct colored jerseys and the fact that Bird couldn't dunk was enough for all of us to think it was the most realistic thing ever.

Anyway, just some thoughts from a lifelong sports gamer.

It was good that they had 2k1 on there... but they missed 2k5 that should have been no lower than 3.. Then Double Dribble for the NES & Ice Hockey. I also think that NHL 2k9 should get a mention too.
