I don't think that would happen. If EA did go exclusive I don't think it would effect first party games.

If it did however then I would go to EA Sports buildings and blow them up!

All EA needs to do is blow MLB away with a good offer. MLB doesn't care how good the games are, nor do any other leagues like the NFL. EA clearly has a concerted strategy to scoop up the licenses that they can buy as shown by the aggressive purchases of the NCAA and the AFL licenses. I'd be shocked if they didn't make overtures to the MLB about going exclusive.
