Looks like we have a new channel in the soccer game coming.

They have already acquired rights in the US for La Liga, Serie A and Ligue Un, with rumors of them going hard after the EPL rights.

If you hear news about what providers will carry it, if it's in HD, and what tier then post it here.

Also if they acquire more rights.

That is just weird because of FOX wrangling the World Cup rights away from ESPN. I didn't know that they also lost the rights to Serie A as well.

We'll see how this works. I would like to see more soccer as always, but I wonder if the pretenses of Al-Jazeera make providers shy about carrying the network (I don't have a problem with it, but others might find some reason as to why).

I still can't believe Comcast doesn't have HD. I got Comcast two years ago, no HD made me cancel a day later.

I'm in Philly and I've had FSC and Gol in HD for some time now on Comcast.

I have FSC, FS+, and Gol in HD on Cox, and I can't imagine having to go back to SD. I feel for all of you without the beautiful game in HD.

In terms of the new channel, I think beIN Sports is a terrible channel name. I hope it succeeds, though, because the more soccer on TV the better. The only downside I can see is if they get a share of the EPL rights and are sold as a premium channel. On Cox both FSC and FS+ come as part of the HD tier, but I know that on DirecTV and Dish you have to pay $15 a month to get FS+. It would be a shame if, on top of that, you had to pay an additional $15 a month to get the entire EPL package.

I have Cox and still can not get FSC HD. Odd.
