Pretty dominant in their first 2 matches, even though the DC game only ended up 1-0 on a late goal from a corner. I think Sporting is going to dominate most of the Eastern Conference, they should runaway with it. Hopefully they will be battle tested come playoff time though.

LA vs Tottenham in july. I'm actually looking forward to this friendly. I got tired of always seeing Real Madrid or Barca

hahaha...we in Portland are extremely excited to get Valencia. I couldn't imagine the buzz around Real or Barca.

Right before the Wizards became Sporting Kansas City, they played Man U in their final game and won. But it was just their B team, so it was hard to get excited about it. If Barca sent Messi, David Villa,Pedro, and co. I feel like it would be a rout.

You guys beat them even though you were playing a man down. Thats still somewhat of an accomplishment, IMO. But yeah, you cant really make anything out of these friendlies. If MLS clubs lose, it's cuz we suck. If MLS clubs win, it's because euro club wasnt trying.....

Oh yeah, I had forgotten we were a man down. I mean, there's no denying that the tallent is better elsewhere. But I'd love to see what the talent level is compared to the lower echelon of the Premier League or La Liga. I would bet that the best MLS teams would finish above relegation fairly consistently. And that says something, IMO. Would they ever finish at the top of the table, run how they are now? No. But I think they'd absolutely compete.

Re: Official MLS 2012 Season Discussion Thread

couple of upsets this weekend. RSL loses at the RioT to the lowly Chivas, 1-0.

The Revs get a quick goal within 30 seconds of the opening kickoff and hold off the Timbers for a 1-0 win. I think my LA boys should handle the Revs quite easily this coming weekend..... I hope.

Good win for Chicago over Philly. Pappa just tore the defense up and sent in a nice cross for the Oduro goal.

SJ destroys Toronto and will probably be beat down pretty good again this Wed in their champions league match vs Santos of Mexico.

NY gets back on the winning track with a big win over Colorado.

that set up was incredible from pappa. again, good to see Oduro rounding off his game with a nice technical goal. if he keeps playing like this i expect him to get some caps for Ghana. it was nice to see pappa have a great game, he didn't do much of anything against Montreal,. woulda liked to see more than 1 goal though as we had several opportunities to increase the lead
