He's everything Dalglish isn't, imaginative, aggressive, and fearless. Given a proper budget and a top level squad, the sky is the limit.
Yes, yes, yes.

If I were a Liverpool supporter, the last thing I want right now is a big name. If they don't deliver success immediately, they'll be seen as a flop.

Martinez knows this league very well and has done wonders with the squad at his disposal. To dismiss him simply because he's not a big enough name at this point is foolish considering the club in question just finished in 8th. It's not as if Liverpool are going for a domestic title, or even a European title. They're trying to get back to the point where they can be a serious challenger.

We all know what the Liverpool supporters are going to blame next year if they have another league finish like this year...AMERICANS!

Exactly, and "big name" doesn't always equal "better." I think Liverpool are close to becoming a serious challenger (and would have been one had their finishing been better), but to dismiss a guy with a proven track record of success because he's not a "big name" would be foolish.

Whelan is an ******* and cannot wait for his team to fall to League 1 after Martinez leaves.

Sounds like Ole Gunner Solskjaer will be the next Villa manager.

I hate it for the fact that I have to learn how to spell and say Ole Gunner Solskjaer. But he wants attractive soccer, and Villa need to start being more attractive to entice players to come to Villa, and to actually be a good team.

They started that with Gerard Houllier, then they went totally off the tracks and went with McLeish. Going back to the Houllier type system would be a good idea, IMO.
