I think theres already been a thread like this but if you ask me they're both good games its just a matter of opinion. Only way to really find out is to play for yourself.

I understand it was only a demo, but when I played PES 10, it just felt "arcadey". Something didn't feel right about it. Have things changed since the DEMO? Probably, but I don't own it to make that assumption. But from the DEMO, my choice is FIFA 2010.

Kid, always remember never to do this ^^. It's PES. FIFA has ZERO physics. The ball is filled with helium for god's sake. I won't continue, no need to start a flame war...

Lot's of guys still play PES, but almost all the scores and opinions I've read this year point to Fifa being better bang for the buck.
I like PES, but I just find Fifa offers MORE of everything. Especially the licenses...that one's a deal-breaker for some!
I've owned Fifa the last 3 seasons, and love it. But that's just me.

While the licenses are nice, there are still some errors to stuff that are pretty glaring. And with PES, I can create other teams myself (like teams from my country that would NEVER be in any game). Makes for an interesting Master League.

FIFA is kind of fun, but the default team settings are way too fast paced (and with 200+ teams, I'm certainly not going to take the time to do their job).

As a disclaimer, I do own both games. Finding good things in both games (crazy, I know!).

I don't understand the insane fanboyism that is associated with PES and FIFA debate. Rent both and see which one you like. I prefer PES. I like the controls and gameplay a lot better than FIFA. However, FIFA plays a good game and they have a lots of licenses. Try both out and don't get caught up in what reviews say on major game sites. They play two games and write up a review. Read forums like this where people analyze every aspect of the game in excruciating minute detail. Rent both and come to your own conclusions.

Great advice - rent both and see which you like best. Don't just play 1 game on each and decide, play both for a bit and decide which is best for you. Both have merits in my opinion.
