Top Goals in 2009/10

After talking about the Blake goal in the EPL thread, I thought it may be a good idea to put up a thread where people can post their favorite goals from all leagues from the 09/10 campaign. For those looking for clips, footytube.com is a great resource.

I'll start it off with this one. Bodnar scores an absolute scorcher for Debreceni against Levski Sofia in the UCL (the first goal in the clip):

Jermain Defoe's 3rd goal was an absolute rocket. Boaz Myhill had no chance!

It would be a lot better if he actually meant to do that. It was a huge goal for Chelsea, but was pure luck.

Great idea, Tomas. Another good source is 101greatgoals.com. They don't usually link to YouTube, so the chances of the video getting taken down are much lower. The only thing is that they tend to link to foreign sites, so the commentary usually isn't in English or Spanish.

By the way, the goal you posted is filthy!

Apologize for the poor quality of the video. No apologies needed for the quality of the goal.

Re: Top Goals in 2009/10

I love this first goal in the clip. Fluid teamplay and good finishes always trump individual efforts in my book...
I should add that Fenerbahce missed chance after chance after chance in this game. If you want to watch the whole clip, you'll see exactly what I'm saying. Danny Guiza must be kicking himself...

I am not so sure that he didn't mean to do it. He looked like he was trying to shoot to me.

Really? You think he was trying to shoot? Look at the rotation on the ball. It's spinning away from the goal. Clearly it was a cross that was off the mark and luckily found it's way into the goal.
