Just needed to brag a bit.

Today was a great day sort of.

I'm not the most knowledgeable about soccer I can say that and not feel bad about it. But my friend started coaching girls JV soccer at a local high school. He asked me for help. I'm pretty athletic and thought that it would be pretty fun to be out an running around. Well we lost our first game 2-0 and looked good defensivly but couldn't generate much of an attack. Lost the second game 6-0 and it was just ugly more offense but horrendous defense. I've been getting smarter about the game and being more active in coaching.

Well today in the first 10 mins we lost a girl to a knee injury and give up a PK goal. My friend has to go with her to the hospital so I am left to coach the rest of the game. I use the fact that there is a ambulance on the field to gather the girls and talk to them. Well they start to play harder. We manage to tie the game at 1 before the half. I get to have another half time speech and make a few subs and we come out in the second half and score three more goals and manage to get our first win of the season 4-1. I was really happy and proud of out girls. They played their hearts out and it was great to see.

I just wanted to tell someone because I am really in a good mood and quite proud of myself.

I've been thinking about coaching soccer later on in life, it seems like it'd be a lot of fun.

It was such a rush watching them score that first goal of the season. That matches their win total all of last year. Yeah, my buddy was pretty happy we are getting them to buy in a little bit more each practice.
