Re: The Transfer Thread

Time to revive this thread with none other than rumors about Chelsea. I know that didn't surprise too many people around here. Seems as if their they are going to buy Mickael Essien from Lyon now that Real Madrid has dropped out of the bidding. I don't know much about this guy but I hear he is suppposed to be pretty good.

Re: The Transfer Thread

nkhera1 - the link u gave just redirects back to this thread...here's the real link

Chelsea already offered Lyon €40 million for Essien a few days after they sealed the Premiership win, which was rejected so i wonder how much the offer is now

They are also close to signing Spanish left back Asier Del Horno from Athletic Bilbao, while Liverpool are close to adding Villareal keeper Jose Reina to their squad.

Other confirmed transfers (some with links):
- Porto trio Maniche, Costinha and Giourkas Seitaridis have joined Russian club Dinamo Moskva
- Ajax's Rafael van der Vaart has signed with Hamburger SV in Germany for around €7 million
- FC Barcelona have confirmed a free transfer of Athletic Bilbao's Santiago Ezquerro

And for transfers involving English Premier League teams only check out this site - premierleague.com

Re: The Transfer Thread

More news:
- Udinese's left winger/wingback Marek Jankulovski looks set to join AC Milan
- FC Barcelona will recall both Javier Saviola and Juan Roman Riquelme from their loan spells but will look to sell both players (preferably as a combo to lure in a big name striker)

Coaching Changes:
- FC Porto have named AZ Alkmaar's Co Adriaanse as their new manager
- Lyon have announced Gerrard Houllier as their new coach

Re: The Transfer Thread

- Liverpool are lining up Zaragoza's Argentine centre half Gabriel Milito

- free agent Edu has signed with Valencia

- Newcastle Utd's Laurent Robert has been linked with French club Toulouse (i can see him going back to France but only to a big club like Lyon)

- Argentine midfielder Andres D'Allesandro wants to move to the Premiership and is linked with Tottenham

- 21 year old Brazilian star Robinho has been linked with Arsenal, but Real Madrid seem favourites to sign him

- Everton are close to signing a double deal of Mikael Forssell and Scott Parker of Chelsea

Re: The Transfer Thread

Celtic's Bobo Blade has basically told Bayern to come and get him. Haven't seen the lad play, so no idea.
