Astros Chise: Paredes or Altuve?? Please Help

So these 2 guys seem to be my only real trade bait, however with them both playing 2b I really only have need for one of them while the other sits on the bench. Im trying to figure out which one is actually the better prospect and maybe some trade ideas to help bolster the team.

Paredes is technically a 3B if you want to keep him around....

Define * real trade bait*....cause there's better players to trade assuming ur open and willing to anybody and everybody on the roster but if i had to pick one to keep it'd be Paredes

For real trade bait, why not just trade Wandy? I assume you're rebuilding in your 'chise. You could get more than you would for either Paredes or Altuve.

As for the question at hand, I'd go with Altuve. No other reason than, like Scott said above, Paredes is more of a third baseman.

I chose the Astros as they seemed like a tough rebuild option. Simmed a few seasons and worked trades/FA. In the end I have Paredes playing third and he has turned out to be the better of the two. I still have Altuve in at second and he does all right as well. If i had to choose one I would keep Paredes. I also believe he is an A prospect and Altuve is a B prospect but I could be wrong.

In the beginning of the franchise the first thing I did was trade Wandy as well as Lee.. Old and grade A "trade bait". Well maybe grade B.

totally agree with Wandy and Lee...ur also forgetting Myers and Lyon...and maybe even Happ...so there's 5 guys i'd trade first rather then Altuve or Paredes....why would u wanna trade either anyway? they're both young and cheap...if Johnson aint workin out at 3B, u can easily slide Paredes there

For what it's worth, in my Braves franchise (30 team control), the Astros kept trying to trade Paredes, usually for a veteran they didn't need. Finally allowed them to make the trade when it was for a couple of prospects.
