Hall of Fame Players

While reading Royals19's refreshing opinions on Draft Scouting i became curious;
Has anyone had a hall of fame player on MLB 2012 yet? Could be homegrown, already excisting, e.t.c.

If homegrown can you give us some details bout his career and how you got and developed him?

This is intended to brag, and for future refernce about what guys become studs, or how to develop guys.

Enjoy!

Re: Hall of Fame Players

I got five Hall of Famers on a dominant Cubs franchise that lasted 22 years. (Lots of simming but played many games too). Starlin Castro, Anthony Rizzo, Willy Peralta, Matt Moore, and my own created player. Castro had 3800 hits, Rizzo around 2500 with 400 HRs. The two pitchers had 300 wins and around 4000 Ks.

Very interesting, I'd love to hear more about this... I'm hoping to get deep in my franchise, I usually only get a few seasons in...

I have seen many a pitcher get 3000+ K's in game, but 300 wins is something I have never seen.

Brett Jackson and Will Middlebrooks played for me and got similar stats to Rizzo but didn't get in. I think a .300 average requires around 400 to 450 hrs to get consideration. None of the three got to 3000 hits.

Moore just kind of snuck up on it through longevity. It surprised me.

Peralta was another story. He was strong, a guaranteed 20 wins every year. Late in his career he didn't rate as even close to one of my best five starters but I kept running him out there and he was unbeatable. It is almost like there is an "experience" or "makeup" rating that isn't visible. Veterans seem to stay strong even after they lose a step on the ratings.

I've seen is before, like I'm in 2016 in a pirates franchise on MLB 11 and Justin masterson has outperformed every one of my pitchers despite being almost 7 years their senior
