I'm with you 100% on that one. I feel that's something more realistic for 2K to tackle in lieu of attempting to remove two-player dunk animations altogether. It'd be a big step up if 2K could get their animations tight enough to the point where players can no longer rise for dunks from a standstill that'd normally require a run-up (like your example) and it'd also be huge if the defender didn't just slide backward with the contact (like Anthony did in your example).

Granted, a lot of 2K's two-player dunk animations are pretty functional and legit. It's just a bummer when an ugly one rears its head.

That's one the worst one in the game, a player is standing still, than out of no where he levitates forward and makes a poster...extremely unrealistic

They need to be tweaked to be more realistic at least. If you're controlling Hakeem Olajuwon you shouldn't be forced to stay in the restricted circle with your hands down and watch him get posterized.

i don't think these animations should be removed, I just think they should happen less often...like maybe once per game at the most. as of now, you can pull off a crazy "dunk on" animation on about every other possession if you want to.

If the user is slow to rotate and attempts to jump too late, I haven't an issue with an animation kicking in of Hakeem getting posterized (like in the Barkley video from a page earlier). Sometimes defenders are too slow sliding over in time to fully jump and contest:

Wonder why there's no contact layups if two player animations are inevitable? Could get some super athletic dude like Westbrook to do it and have the same kinda deal. Only it can still be blocked sometimes.
