Am I missing something about this game?

Im a real legit player. Been the greatest at the last 2 2ks. This year, I don't know what i'm doing wrong. Im winning about 2 out of 3. The games i'm losing just don't seem legit to me. Why am I taking good shots all game (in nuetral and red zones) and missing, yet my opponent is able to constantly hit contested shots? I know you need to get closer to basket this year, but the same shots i'm missing open are the one's my opponent is drilling in my face (I use left D-Pad D). Am I missing something or is this the way it works this year (Been using Knicks, so their D and team is taken into account)? And why am I getting hacked with no calls but opponents get grazed and go to the line? (Never lose with top teams, so Knicks?)

And can you ever drain a shot from Iso moves? Seem too nerfed.

I think the game has some sort of "catching up" logic whether you set clutch factor off or not. I noticed the same issues with the CPU making bad shots and their whole team blocking your shots in the paint with no fouls being called. But when their shots get blocked, it's either a foul call or they pull off the ball fake move and score. Adjusting sliders seem to help a bit but it's a pretty tedious process to get it perfect.
