The Pitcher Attribute K/9, BB/9, HR/9, etc.

So, I'm trying to understand how pitcher attributes work. I know that the higher K/9 is the better, but what about BB/9, HR/9 and so forth? Will a higher HR/9 means more pitches given up to hitters for home runs and higher BB/9 means more hit batters with my pitcher?

Higher ratings mean better, and if I'm not mistaken, that is always the case with Show ratings.

They are pretty self-explanatory. However HR/9 doesn't apply to gameplay, but only in simulations.

K/9 you get more swing and misses and this is directly related to the batter's plate vision and contact/power.

BB/9 makes it easier for you to use your meter, PP, or analog meter. I find control actually makes the meter easier to use, but BB/9 helps you consistently get within that area in which you are aiming the ball.

H/9 is kind of weird to me, but it is suppose to reduce how hard the batters hit the ball. This also is dependent on the player's contact/power and their timing/contact, but I am guessing it gives you more room for error if their PCI placement isn't the greatest. I don't think it helps you get more "lineouts" as when the ball is put into play nothing is pre-determined. It simply helps you pitch to contact and to not allow the hitters to hit it as hard. This would also be more helpful if you give up a lot of HR, so don't ever bother with HR/9.

BB/9 and K/9 are the most useful to me. It allows you to paint the corner and get those swing and misses, the 2 most essential aspects of pitching. Pitching to contact will become easier once you hit those corners.
