Mike Trout 99? Sure he had an amazing year but it's only his second year in the league. Look out for the ol' sophomore slump

Lol

He just had one of he most historic and best all around seasons...ever...as a 21 year old...and missed April. Better than Miguel Cabrera.

Relax on the bold statements. He basically set the standard for what a 99 means in a baseball video game.

Or it could just be a once in a lifetime season, by a very good young player.

Or it could not, lol. What's your point? The Show got his rating correctly for what he did last season. If it makes you feel better, if he struglles next season he will be an 88 in '14.

And no way Chapman is a 99.

This is coming from a die hard Reds fan too haha
Imo, Cueto and Latos should swap ratings. Cueto has been underrated in the last two Shows ('12 and '13), especially since he has had one of the lowest ERA's in the league. If Chapman was a closer I could see a 99, but I dont think a 99 is accurate for a starter.

Trout deserves a 99 based on defense, arm strength, and speed alone. Factor in his hitting and there is no doubt he is a 99. If anything Pujols shouldn't be a 99. Don't base their rating on something they did 2-3 years ago AKA A-Rod and Pujols. A guy that posted an .850 OPS is solid no doubt, but should not be 99 rated when players like Craig, Fielder, and Encarnacion all posted better numbers but are rated lower.

Besides did you guys forget about the weekly updates? Also it says very bold and clear, "Updated rosters will no doubt be released before the March 5th release date, so keep that in mind."

I am really glad some of you guys aren't in charge of rosters or work for SCEA. It would take players like Trout until MLB 15 before he gets his deserved rating.

Not in the game yet, 'cause he hasn't pitched in an MLB game.

I'd be really curious to know how Joe Kelly and Shelby Miller are rated as well.

Yeah its defense. Overall account. I think Rizzo could probably be a few points higher as well but not the end of the world. Just gotta build him up more. Can't wait for this game and the OSFM Rosters!!!
