Amazing how far we've made it in this competition considering Dayton is 0-5-4 on the season in the USL and has only scored 4 goals while conceding 13 on the season so far.
That's what is awesome about this competition. Anything can happen. Just ask Portland. It's been fun to watch. I love for the smaller teams to do well. The more that happens the more people are going to watch, and the more teams will put towards winning it. New York is pathetic in this competition.

Yeah it's a really nice boost for the club. Hopefully they can put together a decent showing next round as well and keep the run alive.

Re: 2012 US Open Cup

LA at least fielded a full group last year in trying to end the run. NY was more concerned last year with a preseason tournament for European teams.

I love the passion that the FA cup brings for England. I'm not saying that the Open Cup can become the FA cup, but it can certainly gain more fame.

Wohoo Sporting Kansas City!! Oh, man - it's been so long. I remember when we won the MLS Cup in 2000 with Miklos Molnar! Has it really been 12 years since this hardware? My goodness, it feels awesome.

Last night was an absolute blast at the game although it felt like a replay of the Champions League final all over, my heart can't take to many more of these.

Re: 2012 US Open Cup

Seattle absolutely lost the game, but how can USSF allow Salazar to ref a game of this magnitude?

He's awful, always has been, always will be. The only thing he was last night was consistent with was his inconstancy. I think the PK call back was the right call, but KC was off the line just as much as SEA.

Congrats KC. We'll take the MLS cup instead.

And I agree, winning trophies is awfully nice.

Seriously thought about driving up for it at the last minute and wish I had! Absolutely wonderful feeling and can't wait to get back for a game at LS Field!

Re: Salazar, can't argue there. He's cost us many times.
