Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends Review

Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends
is the latest racing game from Atari. Originally scheduled to release last summer, TD:FRL takes the series out of the open world settings found in the Test Drive: Unlimited games and back to the closed circuits. With Slightly Mad Studios, of Need for Speed Shift fame, developing this iteration, does the game have what it takes to compete in the retail space with the other racing games available for XBOX 360 and Playstation 3?

I'll stick with my usual, Forza, when Horizon comes out.

Make sure you run this game with a wheel. In the beginning I thought it was ok with a gamepad, but after hooking up my Fanatec and running laps I feel a bit stupid. The game is fully designed for a wheel. My suggestion is to run the "In-Game Steering Lock" at 540, with a wheel that is around 360 degrees lock. If you can adjust your wheel run that, if you have a Madcatz, Logitech or other type of wheel tweak the in-game lock until you find the sweet spot. There's really solid force feedback, and the wheel makes fast laps a cake walk.

I just want to say, I've been gaming for quite a while. I own a lot of racing games. Ferrari racing legends is a horrible game. Do not waste your money on it.

Same here. After a day, I returned it to the store. It was, without a doubt, the worst handling driving game I've ever played. It wasn't even worth $10 if it was released as an Arcade game. Truly turrible.
