This game is way better without the tuner.

Re: What is effect of Tuner--Good or bad ??

Those of you who are having PA pass success w/o the tuner, what difficulty are you on?

After 8 games w/o the tuner, I still believe that on Heisman PA is useless. Neither the safetys nor the LBs pay attention to RB. On AA the PA still works.

I've also noticed that there is more ice skating w/o the tuner. Sometimes DBs do 180s multiple times in one play so they basically switch from zone-to-man-to-zone-to-man in the same play--all w/o ever slowing down! Has anyone else noticed this?

On AA the PA still works. i was aable to jump on defense to challenge for jump balls ...was able to jump on offense as well (my player wouldnt just stay grounded when i hit the Y button)

i played on heisman and i seen to have the opposite ...cpu option to the outside was working ...cpu rushing attack was good...pa pass accually had some time to throw...animations and tackling were much smoother

I've only played Heisman and frankly I had no problems with PA. Haven't used the tuner since I bought the disk version and have had 0 issues with PA.
I didn't have issues with the Season ticket download either.

Re: What is effect of Tuner--Good or bad ??

Here's the million dollar questions though.

1. How in the world can play action "work" with the tuner for some folks and "not work" with the tuner for others?

2. How in the world can play action "work" without the tuner for some folks and "not work" without the tuner for others?

Makes absolute zero sense

It behooves folks to wait and see what the tuner has actually changed via a list from the devs because right now you all are ALL over the place and its seeming like placebo effects are getting the best of SOMEBODY, not saying who but some of these observations just aint real sorry.

I'm personally playing without the tuner right now and I have seen successful play action on both sides of the ball. I've also seen play action get crushed on both sides of the ball.

Re: What is effect of Tuner--Good or bad ??

I was an early adopter of the "no tuner" policy as soon as I started to read the impressions thread. I seen alot of complaints about the db play, and when I picked up my game decided NOT to install the tuner.

And from what I witnessed first hand,I did not have the issues many were complaining about...so I never bothered to download the tuner, and since I don;t play online,it was no big deal.

As another user stated,I'm seeing PA work fine, but then again I see it blown up,and isn't this what happens in college football? If not properly set up,how can anyone expect it to work. I've also been able to catch the defense "napping" as I've also gotten it to work when I haven't set it up.

I also play on Heisman using the sliders I helped develop with Authentic and ILive.

If we freakin knew what the tuner was intended to do, this would be alot easier. I am getting so pi55ed right now that EA has not said a freakin word. I mean seriously. Why cant you put out a statement as to what the fr1ck is going on? Its like they are sitting there laughing at us as we try to figure out what to do with the tuner. Its ridiculous. People are having freezing issues and nothing is said or done to fix it? Who runs a business like this where the customers get crapped on every year?! PUT OUT A STATEMENT EA. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO FIX THESE ISSUES? WHAT THE HECK IS THE TUNER FOR? I have installed it, then deleted after reading this forum, then installed it again, then uninstalled. I dont get where people are seeing this HUGE difference in gameplay. I dont see it. I dont know what to do. Game has been out over a week and we dont know what the frickin tuner did or what EA is doing to fix anything at all. I mean, they see forums all over the place going ape sh1t about all the problems and we get nothing. THE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE FOR SOME WITH THE FREEZING EA. DONT YOU CARE? wow. ok, im done.

Re: What is effect of Tuner--Good or bad ??

i wish we knew too mikey.

the only things that i can see with the tuner vs. without

1.) its possible that wr animations are not there as much with tuner.
2.) running game is harder with tuner which is good. was way to easy, just like last year.
3.) screens are harder. screens were way to easy and open without tuner.
4.) not really have probs with playaction with tuner. i run west coast O so i run tons of them. had a amazing screen pass to the fb on playaction last night and a 60 yard pass td on a straight drop back playaction also. but i am using matts sliders so it could be fixed or not as noticable with sliders.
5.) ilove the blocking. pulling linemen work great for me also. i think it needed to be toned down some and seems it was.

either way turn on autosprint. the issue is still there with the d not unengaging speed burst once you hit it in manual mode. oh, about 6 years now and still in the damn game. at least hey gave us auto sprint.

elaborate on these guys, as im trying to figure more out. my sliders could be messing with what im seeing in some case. if you guys havent watched matts vids on high threshold vs default take a look. the higher you have it the more realistic the read and react is. and rb ability is high so dont worry about getting run down by linemen andlbs in open field. if you guys are seeing other stuff, please keep posting. not enough expanations in here. just this is broke or that without explaining.

You're so wrong!

That can't be fixed with a tuner... we'll need to wait for a patch to try to fix the second tuner. Then we'll get another tuner trying to fix all of the stuff that the patch broke.

I think the tuner may cause freezing. I deleted it and haven't froze yet (knock on wood).
