this is an item for sale, a will middlebrooks coin that is endorsed by both the MLB and MLBPA. both logos are printed on the item itself. i find it hard to believe that an item like this can be produced and sold but he cant be in a video game.

Agreed. Even though the MLBPA clearing it is the official word from SCEA. There has to be some other reason. Whether its small or something else, who knows.

Middlebrooks has been up in the MLB for a month+. He has been a somewhat productive player, starting most nights on a high profile team(even though they are in last place). Guys have been added weekly that haven't played near as much as him, and are new to the game in 12'.

I was actualy going to go back and see how many guys have been added each week who's names go over the designated 11 spaces for players names in CAPs. Maybe its more of a PIA to add those guys as new players.

Who knows. At this point though, I just find it odd that new players have been added, already sent back down, and he has stuck and still hasn't found his way onto the official roster update each week.

I plead ignorance on knowing the process of clearing a guy to have him appear in an officially licensed game. The fact still stands that guys have been added each week who have never played before, yet he has been in the big leagues for 4 straight roster updates, and nothing.

Its also not as if people aren't noticing. This thread is now 4-5 pages long, and there are numerous other threads just like this on other forums.

Why don't you guys just download the OSFM Full Minors Roster and export/import Middlebrooks into the SCEA Roster?

The bigger question is - why does anyone even care about the SCEA update? There created players suck and the OSFM Roster is far superior.

In my case, I want his last name to be "Middlebrooks", so I plan on importing him into my roster after I copy his OSFM face over the SCEA one, takes 5 minutes.

I don't think anyone posting in here actually does a franchise with the SCEA roster updates, either they plan to import him or play online where this is more of an issue.

And if you are waiting on starting a franchise just to have "S" at the end of his name.....you guys are wasting your time. The in game audio doesn't recognize the name "Middlebrooks" so basically it's just going to be the on screen overlays.

To each his own and I don't mean to criticize you guys......but you are wasting valuable time where you could be getting games in and enjoying the game.

I usually don't start a serious franchise til June anyway, I play exhibition games til then. I like to incorporate the current year into my rerates, and since I play this game year round, I don't consider any valuable time lost perfecting a roster set and waiting for all of the patches to come out

Its not like I'm sitting idly by, waiting for Middlebrooks to show up in the next update, that would be idiotic. If he is included before I finish my roster, great. If not, eh.
