Dynasty League Baseball Online: New Features Impressions

Last year, I gave my impressions of Dynasty League Baseball Online, a virtual edition of the classic board game, as well as a pre-season update.

I loved the game's ability to recreate everything about real baseball, including injuries, park-effects and the truly bizarre events that make baseball special. But since then, they've added a few elements that make the game more customizable, and in turn, even more interesting.

Still no word on single player season replays. Game is great but without that it's useless to me.

It's still a good game, but the online version sucks up money like gas in a Hummer. I still think it's better to go card and dice.

Thing is, if they had single player season replay with the library of seasons they have online I'd happily pay the money they are asking.

The solitaire season replay play format (you will have the option to invite friends into your replay as well) will come after Public draft leagues are launched. Still in development for Public draft leagues is the new live draft room, trade proposal and player contracts (that follow the Official DYNASTY League Baseball rules).

For a typical player who plays with the current season during the baseball season, the Online version is less expensive than either the Board game version or the discontinued season CD's for the old Windows version. As a bonus with the Online version you get access to not just the current season, but every season in the DYNASTY League Baseball library.

For a single player replay player like myself, this is exactly why I have zero problem with paying the online fee. I think the seasons available combined with how well it plays online is well worth it.

It just won't be worth it to me until solitaire replays are set.

I also am waiting for the ability to play solitaire seasons online.
