Re: Predict the top 25 best team ratings for NCAA '13

Neither tOSU or UF will be rated lower than a B on offense. EA just won't do it.
I can't believe this thread is still going. lol

It took Urban Meyer to change Ohio State's recruiting ranking which was probably just in the top-25 (maybe even outside top-25) and top-5 in like 3 months if Urban wants a kid he'll throw everything at him even those who are verbally committed.
Nick Saban has been a more dominant recruiter than Urban Meyer. I mean Ohio St fans can be excited all they want and Meyer will make them better. But unless Nick Saban leaves Alabama, they are going to be the most dominant team in college football basically year in and year out.

Recruiting between Saban and Meyer was pretty much equal in the SEC. Ohio State can get players from all over, they even have a commit from California this year. Urban Meyer's already won back to back titles at Florida, and he's got more resources at his disposal at Ohio State.

Based off how bad they were and coming into this year there is no argument but you saying the team should be good just because they are older. They were 100th and something even if they increase by 50% that would still be 50th in the nation and that in no way deserves more than a B

B- offense enough said
LSU had just as bad of an offense the year before last (10 ypg diff.), and they came back with an A-. Or how about Clemson, who was also in the bottom quarter nationally in 2010, and they came back with a B+. This with a QB (Boyd) who hadn't proven anything up to that point. Or Texas who was inept at nearly everything in 2010, and they had a B+ offense. This is EA, they will not give any top program lower than a B for offense or defense...

LSU's offense was absolutely terrible year before last. They were scoring between 10-17 point regularly. They just couldn't move the rock.

You just said the whole big reason yourself, Meyer was in the SEC. He was getting players to come to Florida in the SEC. He is not going to be able to be as great of a recruiter at Ohio St as he was at Florida. And how does he have more resources?

And Saban has had a #1, 2 #2, and a #7 recruiting class since his first full season as Alabama's Head Coach. (Scout.com) Doesn't look like anyone has been out recruiting him.

Urban Meyer will make Ohio St a better team. But he is not going to make them into a dominate powerhouse like the SEC teams have been lately.

The only way I see an SEC not winning a title right now, is if they beat up on each other.

So ur saying Meyer can't get top talent to come to Ohio State University?!?! Just because it's not in the SEC?!?! To a top 3 all time football university? But Tressel could get pretty good teams here?!?! Somethings not adding up.

Re: Predict the top 25 best team ratings for NCAA '13

I'm confused as to how anyone could say Urban won't be able to recruit talent here like he did at UF. We had a very mediocre class before Urban got here, and within 2 months it became the 4th best recruiting class. Now he already has 2 5-star commits, and the 5th best class for the 2013 rankings.

Re: Predict the top 25 best team ratings for NCAA '13

You Ohio St fans dont understand anything. Ive said 50 times now that Urban is going to make them a better team, should improve there terrible offense, and should have them being a top 10 team on a yearly basis.

But he is NOT going to get the same type of players he got while he was at Florida. Yes he will get some, but he is not going to be able to load his team with as much of the type of players that you see dominate the SEC today. The B1G is different than the SEC. Yes they sign great players there. But the SEC is loaded with talented players that have the combination of all size, speed, and strength. I'm not saying there aren't these types of players in the B1G. But the SEC is loaded with them. Most other places have a combination of size and strength and not speed, or speed and size, not strength etc.

Until Urban proves he can get those players at Ohio St (you can say he did at Florida, we all know that). But until you see them there, you dont have an argument.

Ya I agree but as I have seen there is no use arguing with them as they are gonna think what they want and nothin you say will change that... They wanna be how Florida was or Alabama is they can't stand it lol

They still think the 100th something should almost be a A or a high B just because they think key word "THINK" they will be better because they are older... Just like they think there gonna have elite players from the south. They will have great players no doubt but the south seems different...

Problem is there so worried about you talking there team down they dont wanna see the truth. Everything each of them have said is based on what they "THINK" will happen. Not based on what's happening now....
