Blood Bowl Review

Never in my gaming history has a title felt so frustrating yet so satisfying all at once. Blood Bowl is punishing, confusing, not at all accessible; yet once you find the end zone, those problems seem very short lived. Of course, all of those negative feelings come rushing back on the ensuing kickoff.

As an avid boardgamer I have to say that the tabletop version of this game is awesome. I have not purchased the PC version or the console version as I've read too many negative things about it. It's too bad they didn't do this title justice. And it's a shame the tutorial doesn't properly teach the game. Once you understand the mechanics it's a great game.

Re: Blood Bowl Review

The PC version has online leagues, I think. That'd make it much more desirable.

The reviewer is correct that the learning curve is steep for a new player, but for anyone that has played the game before it is actually pretty awesome. I have been playing this game non-stop since I bought it even though I only played the board game back in the day once or twice, as it was a bit too long and fiddly for my tastes (not to mention the need to paint minatures). The video games solves these problems. I am hoping that the upcoming patch resolves the differences between the 360 and PC versions.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who played both the PC and the Xbox versions. One of the biggest complaints I've read about the PC version, at least in the single player department, was that the AI was horrible. I wonder if it got any better with the console version.

The reviewer is reverse that the learning shape is perpendicular for a new contestant, but for anyone that has played the spunky before it is actually pretty impressive. I change been playacting this strategy non-stop since I bought it modify though I exclusive played the shack occupation hindermost in the day once or twice, as it was a bit too sesquipedalian and fiddly for my tastes (not to accolade the status to blusher minatures). The recording games solves these problems. I am hoping that the upcoming repair resolves the differences between the 360 and PC versions.

Re: Blood Bowl Review

I'm actually playin on pc and having fun andro. I had to do research on the board game. Living rule book 5 is a must read. The game does a crap job of letting you know what's going on in the game but lrb5 helps make sense of the game. You can find it online. If you like strategy games this is fun. I was getting mu but kicked but won a couple after reading the rules and it is a good feeling when you get the ball in the endzone. I'm only playing classic mode by the way.
