Re: 2009 Atlanta Braves

Pretty rare for a beat guy to go off like this. O'Brien's not on the road trip, guess he's not 'on-duty'...

Re: Tom Glavine Released From Atlanta Braves

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread

Hit .212 in 212 ABs for Oakland's AA team. OBP and Slugging under .300. Brutal.

And just got traded to the Brewers for Carlos Villanueva...

May mess with a couple sliders, been playing on...

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread

I made myself a little Grady Sizemore type center fielder, or at least that was my hope. Got drafted by the A's. Stunk most of Spring Training, started to hit a little only toward the end. Finished...

Re: Who are the best players in the game?

As far as teams, Tampa Bay would be up there. And the champion Phillies are just sound all the way around.

Players - Hanley Ramirez, Jose Reyes, Grady Sizemore, Chase Utley, Cole Hamels, Tim...

Re: 2009 Atlanta Braves

Eh, I think that's a bit harsh. It's March, guys pull and strain stuff frequently this time of year. Doesn't sound too serious. And yeah, he'll have his nagging things pop up periodically during the...

Finally got my first game in, decided to try out legend after hearing so much about it. Though, vs the Nats so I don't know if that really counts.

Was embarrassingly impatient against...

Re: Biggest Busts in Baseball?

I think I just remember him for Gammons or somebody hyping him up...

Re: Biggest Busts in Baseball?

Remember Vaughn Eshelman?

Another guy that just jumped to my mind is Jason Bere. He stuck around a while, but outside of his first couple years, he stunk. Injuries, I think.
