Re: How do you turn on the atmosphere?

You might want to look at little closer at the dude's avatar . . . and then realize it's an avatar making fun of John Madden with turducken in hand.

Just sayin' . . .

Re: Star player out for the year. What do you do??

Right on. Tell him to rub some dirt on it and he'll be okay.

Re: OK someone please explain this to me....Regarding a win or loss for pitcher

True -- I guess I could see you getting a blown save in the 2nd inning in a scenerio if the starter didn't make it through the first inning, and his team had taken the lead in the top of the 1st. ...

Re: OK someone please explain this to me....Regarding a win or loss for pitcher

Not saying you'd necessarily WANT a guy to go from the 6th through the 9th but there are situations where a team's starter tweaks his shoulder or something in the 6th inning or so and the long...

Re: OK someone please explain this to me....Regarding a win or loss for pitcher

Any time from the 6th inning on.

Remember -- you have to pitch at LEAST three innings. So your starter could go five (he'd have to go five to be the winning pitcher because the starting pitcher...

Re: PS2 Full Rosters AAA/AA Anyone interested / In helping or using them?

Which in-turn would make the whole process 3,000% longer.

Re: RTTS: Minor Adjustments to Goal Points?

Man, I power down so fast when I see that my goal is to execute a hit-and-run as a hitter. I can not tell you how much fail goes through my brain because I know, the ensuing pitch is going to be in...

Re: Argghh!!!! Playoff rosters FRUSTRATING

A couple of things:

1. 40-man roster does not = playoff roster. According to rule 40(a), a player must be on his team's MLB roster (or disabled list )in order to be playoff eligible. PS2 DOES...

Re: Follow Through?

Yeah, it bothers me -- I've noticed it with Ian Kinsler. His swing is a two-handed follow-through so I have since changed his stance.

oldskoolmaddenfanz27 -- he's talking about when a guy swings...

Re: Question for scea about clutch

Dude, I realize what you're saying and don't even necessarily disagree, but you must have missed this part of my post . . . But that's also why there's a "clutch" rating for pitchers.

Re: My first no-hitter of 09

I find it ironic your no-no came using Derek Holland against the Rangers.

I cannot wait to see how he turns out in real life. Hasn't been bad in relief so far.

Re: Question for scea about clutch

What if clutch was presented a little more like this . . . ?

Some examples -- I realize there is more to "clutch" than simply batting with RISP, but it's just my example.

A -- a hitter with a...

Superstitions . . .

As we all know, there are countless stories of MLB players being superstitious and having their own little "rituals" and things like that. I'm almost convinced this is factored into this game. For...

Re: Should this have been a save??

Kensing was not in the game yet though when his team took the lead. Therefore, the other pitcher was still the "pitcher of record." You don't become the pitcher of record until you step on the...

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread

It is quite a funny experience when your guy is offered a contract and you're thinking "dude, I actually make more than that, how sad is that?"

No, I don't make a whole lot -- that's how bad the...
