The more I have played this and looked at replays and cut scenes I would rate this above Live for graphics and slightly below 2k. As some people have mentioned some of the faces and textures do look a little Madame Tosouds wax works but I actually think thats what makes it standout from the other two games.I also enjoy this over Live and slightly less than 2K(just because 2k is way more sim) ,other thoughts on graphics and who are some of the liknesses they have nailed.I play as the bucks and they have 80% looking really good,thoughts....

P.S How may of you use showtime and sixaxis controls for defeense/offense?

I totally agree! I had already mentioned this exact same thing in the ps2 thread in this section. I too play on PS3 & the graphics are between NBA 2K9 & definitely better than Live 09. I rate this game better than Live 09 overall & not as good as NBA 2K9. Thanks!

I have all three games (retail, not demos) and IMO there is no way 09 graphics are better than Lives. 2Ks graphics are good but not all of the players look life like. Some of the guys are really off, like Durant, he looks nothing like that.

I do think the game is different from the other games. If you want to run up and down and dunk and shoot 3's then this game is great. 2K & Live are more sim games.

I do like "The Life" modes although they are a little short. Instead of have 3 different ones they should just try focusing on 1. Just a thought.

Good idea about focusing on just 1 Life story and possibly making it longer and even more immersive.SCEA could definately try this next year.

They really should. IMO they should really try to distance them selves away from the pack in that regard. If they focused on making the game play better. Maybe not sim but, just a more over all tight game. And put more into "The Life" feature I really think they would have something to build on. Not everyone wants a "sim" game. Some people just want to play a fun up and down game with some friends head 2 head or online. If they got the core game play mechanics down they would be one to something. JMHO. Really job effort so far though.

NBA Live > NBA 09 > 2K9 graphic wise...NBA 09 has more of a cleaner look but overall I cant put it over Live..The Arenas in 2K make the game look better than it really is but they murder NBA 09 in face models...I like the look of NBA 09 and the only reason I put it over NBA 2K9 was because of all the jerseys looking like replicas

Yeah the jerseys are on point in the game. Even the jerseys in the D Leauge when you do the life look great which is pretty cool. i think graphically that the game is very good and even better if you have a HDTV because its the only bball game that goes in 1080p

I agree completely I love the life mode but if it was longer it would be even better. The reason I got this game is because it was supposed to be fun and it has come through IMO.

The Inside is heading down a good road to a solid basketball game on the PS3. I couldn't believe the improvements with this years game plus the addition of what's been missing(franchise mode). I still slightly prefer NBA 2K right now but that could very well change by next year if Sony can improve even more with NBA 09 The Inside. Thanks guys!

What team do you got going in the franchise? Dallas? I wish they added a fantasy draft but I am going well with out it. I kind of like having all the players on their real teams.
