Shooting on NBA 08

Ive had this game since it first came out and i really have a few questions

1. How do you post up?
2. Do you guys shoot a high percenatge from the field?
3. Are there any tips on how to make more jumpshots? Right now most of my offense is in the paint.

You post up with L1.
Yes, more shots go in than miss.
If you're not playing with the shooting meter, do it. It really helps. Once you get used to the shooting or recognize your player's release points, you can most likely turn it off.
