Overall, so far... What are a few of the "Good" and "Bad" points of the game?

How much realism are you seeing?

Is the gameplay solid or does it seem like a dunkfest?

Re: NBA 08 (PS3) Q&A

Off the top of my head...

Good:
Graphics are nice. Not amazing, but they're much better than you'll see in SCEA's MLB game.

Framerate is a solid 60 fps

Controls are responsive, though the manual doesn't match up entirely with the default setup

Bad:
Shot variety stinks. All the CPU wants to do is drive to the basket

Odd animations. Why do my defenders insist on running down the floor with their hands raised to ear level?

I'm having a rough time trying to drive to the basket, unless I pump fake. Speaking of pump fakes, the CPU is guaranteed to bite on the 2nd or 3rd one.

I haven't tinkered with sliders, but there aren't many fouls called on default

I'm not convinced that there isn't a decent game of basketball under all of this, but it may take some serious slider tweaking. It's not terrible, but it's not a good game out of the box.

Similar to 2k's. It's my camera view of choice.

in the demo everyone had ridiculous handle. how's the real game? also, does it seem like the games will be scorefests? can you turn off the points/achievement system present within each game? can you create players? is there a franchise mode?

thanks sully
