How is the SLAM DUNK CONTEST?, better then LIVE?

It's only in the PSP version. I just checked an article that says it's only in the PSP version. Interesting. I wonder who played it? I wish you could rent these types of games for PSP.

Kinda late in this thread, but I've played it and it isn't very good. There's basically a list of starts such as a toss, bounce, and then another list of things you can do. It's very limited, such as you can only do like a one handed or two handed finish off of a lob.

Off of a run you can only do like a baseline reverse, windmill, or between the legs.

To accomplish these, you have to hit different buttons as they fall down your screen into a silhouette of the buttons, Dance Dance Revolution style. I personally dislike it because it makes you focus on something else besides the dunk itself, so therefore you never really see the dunk. To make matters worse, there's no instant replay.

For which system?? Sounds like the one that was in CH2K3 which I personally liked. Dunk contest is hard to really capture honestly within sports.

PSP is the one I played.

I really like NBA Live's version, which is by far the best available mainly because you can practically create any kind of dunk. The only thing I don't like about it is that, much like NBA Live itself, they don't look fluid.

There's no dunk contest in the ps3 version but its not that bad of a game though.
