After every pitch, I tap R2 or L3 to show the pitch sequence (color and number coded in the strike zone box). This is both a ritual and also a big part of my strategy.
In past years, the pitch sequence colors corresponded exactly to the color next to the pitch select, as they should. My brain immediately picked up the sequencing.
This year, the pitch sequence colors don't match the pitch colors, and are basically just indecipherable. The colors range from purple, to dark purple, to light purple. Green is the only one I can make out.
Why in the world would they make this change? It takes a great system and makes it unusable. Very frustrating. Can we please make these match again, as they always have?

I hope they fix this in a patch. I have no idea why they would change last year's colors.

I agree. I use this a lot as well. Last year's colors were perfect. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

While I wouldn't call it "unacceptable", it didn't need changing and is now difficult to distinguish pitch types due to the darker colors.

I've been playing this game year after year, and reading these forums for almost as long, and this is the first "bug" that got me riled up enough to register and post. :-) I love this game, but this change disrupts my play style and seems to have zero logic behind it.

does it differ bc of a particular batters plate vision? Or is it universal for all hitters?
