Probably start (and stop) with John Lannan... possibly rookie jordan Zimmerman too

John Lannan is the ace. Scott Olsen is pretty good.
Mike MacDougal (sp?) is a pretty solid closer for them.

and yeah, I'm with you, man. I started a Nationals franchise just because I was loving the lineup. Guzman, Morgan, DUNN, ZIMMERMAN, Willingham, Dukes, Bard. if they had any pitching, they could really be a good team.

John Lannan is far and away the Nats' best pitcher, followed by JD Martin (just talking starters here). Jordan Zimmermann would be #2 but he got hurt before you could really pass judgment (TJ surgery).

Bullpen-wise, the only quality pitchers are Clippard and Macdougal. And Macdougal isn't very good.

No offense but the whole point of starting a franchise is to make them a contender. If a team was complete, I wouldn't even waste my time managing them.

...which is why I started a franchise with them. the challenge of rebuilding them. signing Esteban Loiaza as my 5th starter because I couldn't get anyone out with Zimmerman. I'm not sure I get why you posted what you posted in response to me.

Re: who's the Nationals best pitchers?

for the start of my 2010 season....looking a the Nationals roster, I have:

1. Strasburg
2. Zimmermann
3. Lannan
4. Stammen
5. Martis

Bullpen

LRP: Mock

MRP: Clippard, Kensing, Segovia

SU: Garate, Saul Rivera

CL: MacDougal

*** SOME of my decision were based on what some of the pitchers DID or DID NOT do in the 2009 season (game-wise, not realistically) ***
