Just curious if you would utilize the FRANCHISE IMPORTER to import any of your previous franchises that you have running from either The Show 08 or 09 if they implemented this feature?

I think I would because I hate starting a new franchise every single year that a new version of a sports game comes out. I currently am in my 3rd season of my MLB 09 Franchise and I have vested so much history and time into this Franchise that I would hate to lose it just to start this all over again from the beginning when 2010 comes out

Would you use it?

I think it would make more sense to make a game every other year to fix all the problems and glitches and have us able to download updated rosters for '10. That seems more likely to happen IMO

I wouldn't.

If I wanted to continue to play my franchise from last year's game then I would play last year's game.

I would love to have this feature in 2010!
I put in thousands of hours creating players from the past.

Right now I make a video of each of my created players schematics.
Then I recreate them to each new MLB "The Show" game.
I'm happy that I can do that but it is time consuming.

It would be great if we could just transfer these created faces with a flash card from one game to the next! Maybe I could actually finish a season.

Another thought to add to this is to allow us to work on our rosters as we progress threw our season.

Then to be able to take these updated rosters and add them to our season already in progress anytime without loosing our place in the season...

I just dont understand the logic in this at all....why wouldnt you want to reap the benefits of a new, improved and updated baseball game and still be able to continue the franchise you started from the previous game?

Or another question may be, why would you want to start a whole franchise all over again and repeat playing seasons that you played in the previous year's game when you could just import your existing franchise and CONTINUE creating exciting history that you can look back on and enjoy knowing you created all of those stats???

I'm torn on this. I love the idea of being able to continue my current franchise because I have played every game, no simming. But at the same time I know once the offseason starts, trades and free agent sigings start happening I'm going to want my rosters being as accurate as possible. So I won't want to continue to play my franchise if say Soriano retires after the 2010 season and my roster gets all out of whack.

If I'm content with a version of the game, then I'll keep playing it and not spend the money on a new game. If I'm not, and I'm hoping things are fixed, then I'll purchase the new game and start over. If I'm still intrigued by the franchise I'm playing, then I won't spend $60 on a new game just to play my franchise on an updated game. Sorry, just how I feel on the subject. Sorry you don't understand, but then again, I'm not sure you really need to.

I feel the same way. Once the real life season starts I want to mimic that as much as possible. Though I would be all for a 2 year development cycle.. doubt that would ever happen though.

Re: Would you use the FRANCHISE IMPORT feature if added in MLB 2010?

I would use it. I want to see how the guys I drafted turn out. I play every game and it takes some time to finish a season, I would like my franchise with all the new features of 2010. I would be very happy if the option was there.

Re: Would you use the FRANCHISE IMPORT feature if added in MLB 2010?

I would use it and have been asking for it for years. It's not about just playing the same game if you want to continue the same franchise. All the time and effort you put into a franchise goes bye bye if you want the latest and greatest version. So if there was an input feature you could continue the same franchise you've worked hard on but play it on the newest version with the better stadiums/sounds/graphics etc..
I can understand if the newest version had some major overhaul that would make importing the only game save too hard but seriously, we haven't had an major upgrades in sports games from 1 year to the next in quite some time. Madden would be somewhat that with the added attributes that would make importing older rosters too hard....
