All for what backbreaker? I'm glad you asked a new road to the show batting interface. Backbreaker the road to the show interface is just fine why do they need to change it. Well you little forum poster, let me set up this can of corn for ya.

Its an optional and only based on the new sony motion controller working in conjunction with the PSeye. Its fast, 1:1 it tracks in 3D and you can be on screen batting with a real(virtual) bat in your hand. Picture this its optional but I think it would be pretty cool

With the Playstation Motion Wand(I just named it) in conjunction with the PSeye works like this.

The PSeye can put your whole body on screen, the PSMW can map a virtual bat on the the end of the glowing sphere. Now with you standing on your side of the plate you can swing naturally. Now you're really in the big leagues.

You can still create your character, but if you chose this batting interface you are the one that is on screen.

Hell I wish SCEA San Diego, made a PSN game call HR derby with all the ball parks but used this batting interface I'm describing and if it cost about 10 bucks I would buy it. It be cool with youtube uploading and world wide Bavg and HR leader boards

Would this involve getting up off the couch and doing some sort of Wii-type activity? Because I don't like getting up off the couch. R-stick controls in next year's game would be enough for me. And if you're talking about an imaging program that maps your swing, I personally have no interest in that. I don't care about details like wristbands and correct sleeves and batting stances. I actually edit a lot of stances and give players stances that look good from the behind-the-catcher view.

great advice until the wife comes in and sees you not swinging at first-pitch strikes down the middle of the plate. And that's when all hell breaks loose...
