MLB 08-> Where to practice batting

Well I picked up MLB 08 for $11 brand new so thats what I have. Come to find out online server is gone

Anyways, I know in 09 it has batting practice mode, which would be very useful for me. I've played 2 games and only 3 hits. . .

Is there any way to practice hitting in MLB 08? Or do I have to suffer through another exhibition game and wait every 3 outs to try and hit?

08 doesn't have batting practice. You could always just switch teams each half inning so you can bat all game.

You have to play exhibition games. You can switch team control so that you are always hitting.

Sweet, never thought about that. . . I might have to look on eBay for an '09, or should I wait for '10 if I want to play online?

09 is great to. If you can wait till March for 10, by all means do so.

09 is chock full of features to keep me occupied til then!

09 Is 100% better then 08,and harder also. When 10 comes out I well be keeping 09 instead of trading it in for 10. But I well buy 10 also. Mlb 09 by far the best sports video game on the market. I hv Ncaa 10 and Madden 10 also, and I play mlb all the time, theres no comparison between the 2 dev teams, mlb hands dn the best. you go over to the ncaa and madden blogs, the comments are how bad thoses 2 games play, and waiting on Patches to bout to fix the game that just came out, but you dont hear that here on this mlb 09 blog. Hop.

I guess I'll use 08 to get used to the game more and get '10 when it comes out.

O ya, I also got some offense going today, batted all game= 22 total hits/ 2 HRs/ 7runs, off Smoltz and Beckett.

I'd just stick with 08 at this point. By no means is it a bad game, in fact, it's very good. You will find hitting to be pretty easy, even on the highest difficulty in 08.

Just for a comparison, in 08 I was playing on HOF and still racking up hits, even with the HUM contact slider at 0. In 09, I've mostly been playing Veteran
