Good thread. I just took three of four from Baltimore (Playing as CLE) to move to a 1/2 game behind in the AL Central lead.

Coming up Tuesday, I start a crucial 3 game series with divison leading Detroit. It's coming down to the wire; I MUST win the division to have hopes of making the playoffs; I'm still 11 GB in the AL Wildcard.

I have never--------EVER------been so nervous thinking about a video game I'm about to play!:-):-) [Reply]

Every 2 posts i read: "in my Braves franchise..." lol

But I never read "in my Astros/Brewers/Reds/Twins" :-)

LOL! i always think that! though there was a post on the main page for quite a while that got a lot of hits about winning the NL central...but i'm pretty sure they were using the cubs!

1-1 in my interleague series with the bo-sox in boston, lost the first one 10-3 then just beat them 5-2....still 9.5 games up on the mets (braves 45-24, mets 35-33, phils 32-36, nats 31-37, fish 26-42)....seriously...the nl east has turned into the nl west of 2 years ago!:-) [Reply]

Yeah, a subway series would be great. Im looking at 1 game at a time and need to win the next game in my mind. Got my fingers crossed :-) [Reply]

That was actually CountryBoys Thread and he uses the Cardinals, there are quite a few Cardinal players on here too. Anyone using Pittsburgh? I would love to hear your franchise numbers. The pirates eneded up like 25 gb in my 1st Cubs season. [Reply]

Little behind but I'm playing every single game so cut me some slack! :-)

Currently 28-16, just started up Interleague play against the Phillies, took game one 5-3. CC was outstanding! He's 6-2 on the year w/ a 3.34 ERA and also leads the league in K's with 76. :-)

Took Wang out of the rotation (Ugh, don't get me started! :-) ) and put Hughes (2-0, 2.86 ERA) into the mix.

Currently on the block: Nady (.205, 5 HR's & 13 RBI) and Wang (3-4, 6.86 ERA) Any takers? :-)

I love this game. [Reply]

The red sox are 6 games ahead of me, and they never lose. I don't understand. Everytime I have a winning streak they also have winning streaks. It seems like I could never catch up to them. [Reply]

I decided to go with Joba in Game 5 and he faced off against Dice K. I wasnted to use CC but he wasnt at full strength so I decided to go with Joba. I figured if I lost Game 5 atleast I can have CC and AJ at home. Well it turns out that Joba pitched great for me giving up 3 runs in 7 innings. I won game five with a score of 7-3 and am coming home for Game 6. I lead 3 games to 2. CC will pitch for me in Game 6. Hope to end the series in Game 6.

Side Note: The Mets lead the Dodgers 3-2. Lets see if there will be a Subway Series Part 2 in 2009. [Reply]

Hey Art, i felt the same way. Going into August of my Yankees franchise, the Red Sox had an 8 game lead over me. I had a pretty comfortable lead in the Wild Card so I was thinking Wild Card at that point. But, after beating the Red Sox in both series in August, the Red Sox started to tumble. I think Ortiz was out for about 1 1/2 months and they started to loose. But yeah, it seemed like every time i would get hot so would the Red Sox. Come Sept 25th, im 1.5 games ahead of the Sox. I swept them in that series and clinched the Division on October 1st. Keep at it dude. But the main thing is getting to the playoffs. Once there, anything can happen and the regular season can be thrown out the window. [Reply]
