Just had a game against the D-Backs; Kenshin Kawakami pitched a gem of a game (7 IPs, 1 ER) and I had a 2-1 lead going into the 9th until Soriano blew the save w/a HR to Justin Upton. :-)
I couldn't get and a hit and neither could they until the 14th when Connor Jackson hit a 3-run shot against Manny Acosta. I was so mad but I finished the game out...Kelly Johnson opened with a walk, I was going to do a hit-and-run but Jordan Schafer hit a ball in the gap for a RBI-triple. Matt Diaz hit an RBI single, then he stole 2nd and McCann drove him home on a SAC fly later on...TIE GAME!!!:-)
I eventually won w/a 2-out Jordan Schafer suicide squeeze. I was STOKED.
The jury is still out on the CPU comeback. :-)[Reply]

He should be back in 1-2 months, so hopefully right before the playoffs. Soto is hitting .223 with 3 HR and 18 RBI, while Ramirez is hitting .319 with 22 HR and 59 RBI.
Now as you see my stats you'll probably ask yourself, "how is he a first place team?!" I honestly don't even know. My offense is terrible, yet my pitching is amazing. It's a shock that I'm in first place. Soriano and Ramirez obviously are my clear-cut power hitters. Fukudome has been a very huge disappointment thus far, hitting just .194 in about 200 at-bats. I'm hoping to bust out offensively when Ramirez and Soto return, and possibly get Fukudome to hit Major League pitching.
I plan on giving my rotation some rest in the upcoming weeks, as the division gets locked up. My bullpen hasn't gotten enough work, which can be a good thing. But at the same time, I don't want to kill my starters.

Ugh, you're having to use Hill at Catcher. I feel for you - I lost Soto in September for 3 months in my first season. Limped into the playoffs and got swept by the Braves despite finishing the regular season 96-66. I'm still convinced losing Soto and having to have Hill in the lineup was one of the main reasons my season went south so quickly.
How you've managed to do so well with Gregg is beyond me. For me it seems he either gets the K, or he gives up a hit. I rarely use him. And Patton was a huge surprise for me as well as he probably was for you. Good luck the rest of the way.

UGH!!!!
leading 3-0 at the reds, vasquez takes a 1hit shutout into the 9th. gives up a first pitch single, gets two outs, gets to 1-2 against votto, who hits a seeing eye through the gap to left, then first pitch rolen HR, tying the game at 3
get the last out, go down 1-2-3 in the 9th then give up another solo shot in the 10th to lose 4-3....damn HoF, there's not such thing as an easy win!

I am playing as the Braves. The record is 9-10. I cannot find my power stroke with Chipper or B-Mac. Having fun pitching with my starters(Lowe, Hudson,JJ, Vasquez and Hanson). With this game it is all about taking pitches.

Texiera hit a 2 run HR in the 7 th and I won 5-2.
Took Game 2 of the ALCS and am now up 2 games to 0 against the Red Sox. Going to Fenway for the next 3 and will face Beckett. Im going with Hughes who has had a fantastic season for me. Game 2 was a close one and I won 4-3 with AJ Burnett getting the win and Mo getting the save, his 2nd of the postseason.
Side note: Mets and Dodgers tied at 1 game a piece

I hated having to use Koyie Hill, He hit .211 for me with 1 HR and 9 rbi. In my first offseason I re-signed him only because the catchers available in Free agency were no better, I have him in AAA now. I did sign Rod Barajas as my new backup catcher. As far as Gregg goes in my first season his era was around 1.60 and he had 51/55 saves for me. I resigned him for 3 years at around 3 mil per year.
Just finished up my first Cubs offseason. Signed 5 MLB free agents and sent some packing too. Here is my 2010 team:
SS- Chone Figgins ( FA )
CF- Kosuke Fukudome
3B- Aramis Ramirez
RF- Milton Bradley
1B- Derrek Lee
LF- Alfonso Soriano
C- Geovanny Soto
2B- Mike Fontenot
Bench:
Carlos Gomez-OF Traded Nate Mclouth for him
Rod Barajas -C (FA) Desperatly needed a Solid backup catcher
Mike Jacobs-1B (FA) Some power off the bench on the left side
Jeff Baker-IF/OF (FA) Mr Utility
Jason Kubel RF Picked him up off waivers, just in time too, lost Bradley for 3 weeks in Game 2 of the season, he was 7 for 7,1 hr and 3 rbi so far
Starters:
1. Carlos Zambrano
2. Cliff Lee (FA) 4yr 51 mil
3. Rich Harden
4. Ryan Dempster
5. Odalis Perez FA signed in August of season 1, was 6-0 and an era around 2.60
Pen:
Angel Guzman
Mike Timlin
Carlos Marmol
John Bale

Seems like lots of Bravos fans on these boards. I did draft a fantasy franchise with the Reds because I wanted to load up on lefty hitting in that park but I only played a few games. Really wanted to be Baltimore but I only play a single season and couldn't come up with enough moves to make them competitive in that division.

I've got a Braves Franchise running in 2014. I also started a Royals franchise but have only gotten through year 1.
I'm debating what to do. I want a bad AL team with a HR friendly park, but I can't seem to find one. Any ideas?

Been a Braves fan for 20 + years now, have to use them.
Even if you aren't a fan of them though and want to use a random team I think they are a good one to use. They have a beautiful stadium, good pitching, and a solid minor league farm system to start off with.
I think they are a year or two from being really good in real life so it's a good team to pick to see if you can take them from mediocrity to World Series Champions.
