13-9 in August, but lost my last two games to Milwaukee 6-2 and 8-2 after winning the first two. 7.5 behind the Mets, who have been fading a bit with all the injured players and one out of the wild card behind Houston. Some of the happenings in my last two Milwaukee games.
Mike Rivera tagged me for two in one game.
Mike Morse was playing just a wee bit shallow in left and Counsell shoots one by him for a double.
Braun gets robbed by Justin Maxwell.
Here's a shot right over my left fielders head.
Gerut slices a double down the line, pretty cool trajectory.
Im the Yankees and I just finished up the ALDS by sweeping the Angels 3 games to zero. The Red Sox also swept the Tigers and now i will have to face the Red Sox in the ALCS. I won the AL East and the Red Sox were the Wild Card. In the NL, the Mets beat the Rox (3-1) and the Dodgers beat the Brewers (3-2). So in the NL, the NLCS will be the Mets vs Dodgers. Should be a good one.

In my Braves franchise I have finally gotten to June, this is the furthest I've ever gotten in a franchise. Usually I start over to many times to finish a season. I'm going to finish this one eventually though and hopefully start another. I'll probably keep playing this even during football and basektball seasons. That's how much I just love this game, I want to get to the offseason and see what that is all about but I play every game so I need to get moving.
Anyway my update is that I've won 5 in a row to get my record to 28-24 and climb into 2nd place, 3 1/2 games behind the Mets. At one point in the season I was 8 GB and really wondering if I was going to be able to make a move but I've hit a hot stretch here that has me feeling really good about my team.
Injuries have taken a toll on me though, I lost Martin Prado for 2 months in April. He's due back in 2 weeks though and I'm going to have an interesting decision to make. Kelly Johnson is really swinging the bat well right now, I'm not sure I want to take him out of the lineup. At the very least though I can send Brooks Conrad back to Gwinett to strengthen my bench. The other injury that hit me hard was Adam LaRoche, he fractured his arm and is out 2 months. So he won't be due back until August. So I went out and made a trade for Mike Jacobs who is just having an unbelievable season thus far. He's at .317 with 12 homeruns....not sure what I'm going to do when LaRoche gets back.
That's my update, this is easily the best game ever. I think I'm addicted but I'm a single so it doesn't matter, lol.

I had Nate McLouth go down in mid April with a fractured wrist so he was put on the 60-day DL. I called up Jordan Schafer (the ratings aren't boosted: it's 40-45 contact and 35-40 power with 14-20 plate vision) and he's hitting .367, 0 HRs, 11 RBIs & 12 SBs in 29 games!!! :-)
...Meanwhile, McCann has been lights out & leading the league in hitting, Chipper is top 10 in walks (my best stat as I never walk and have really tried) and Garret Anderson is barely hitting .260 and kills every rally I have by hitting into a GIDP. Also, Hanson is top 10 in ERA with a 2.60 ERA but I can't get more than 5Ks in a start for the life of me.
I'm in mid-May and about to start my series against the Diamondbacks; I just looked at their stats and Mark Reynolds is hitting .167 with only 2Hrs...I was shocked.
Looking at the Division races in my season, get this.
Dodgers are in first place in the West.
Giants are second.......25.5 game out. The last place Padres are 41.5 games out.
I'd say the Dodgers have wrapped it up in the West.

Wow, that's nuts. How good is the Dodger's record? Or is the West really that bad? The season I just finished, the Dodgers and Dback tied at 90-72, but I believe in Season 1, the Dodgers ran away with it - but nothing like 25+ games over 2nd.

Indians Franchise:
I've tried to maintain the current front office style ($50-70 mil payroll, emphasis on building up the farm system), and made all of the real-life trades (minus Ryan Garko - injured). I sim most games, and play clinching playoff games.
2009: 78-84 (3rd AL Central)
2010: 71-91 (4th AL Central)
2011: 99-63 (WS Champs, 4-3 vs. Phillies)
2012: 91-71 (WS Champs, 4-3 vs. Dodgers)
It's been fun watching the current prospects (Matt LaPorta, Carlos Santana, Lonnie Chisenhall, Justin Masterson, Carlos Carasco, Adam Miller) and my draft picks work their way up and be relatively successful.
It's tempting to make use of the budget I'm allotted after the 2 WS wins, but it feels like more of an accomplishment to have success with mostly homegrown talent.

Yeah, bizarre, huh. I'll post that division a little later when I play my daily game.
