Ichiro's Stance/Swing Motion

has got to be the worst in the game. The only part right about it is when he points the bat upwards. I mean, first of all, he runs up to hit the ball. In the game, he doesn't do that, and of all things, he waits until he fully swings, the bat hits his back, to start running out of the batters box.

Anyone agree?

And I have a feeling I'm going to be told that the motion of him running to hit the ball can't be done, right?

absolutely, when i first played the mariners this spring... is said eh? that doesn't look like a good ichiro.

While I'm not sure if they changed it in 2k9, I know in 2k8 it's like how the OP explained it.

MVP 05 captured his stance best IMO.

I'm awful when batting with Ichiro (with his power lowered from the really high default ratings) and his slowness out of the box doesn't help. I play as the M's every year and always end up trading him away.

As far as his follow through goes...I would agree. MVP 2005 did it better than any baseball game that I have played.

It's not BSG that's at fault here. Signature follow throughs haven't made into this series as of yet...... which is obviously why Ichiro swings just like everyone else.
When/if personalized batter follow-throughs ever make it towards the top of Sony's priority list, then maybe we'll start seeing more interesting & varied swing types.

No I'm saying his stance his horrible too, looks nothing like it besides the bat thing he does. And yes Im aware the follow through has it made it into the series yet, but what is taking so long? This is supposed to be the most realistic baseball game out there and they can't have an animation that MVP had 5 years ago?
