Triple Play

I have gotten about 4 of them so far but I want to ask why you don't get a trophy for getting it?

and has anyone else turned 3?

I have only turned one triple play in a video game, ever. It was in MVP 2005. Runners on 1st and 2nd. Hard hit ball to 3rd. Stepped on the bag, went to second, two, went to first, three.

To answer the latter, I did once on Show mode on '08. My pitcher's first action in AAA; entered with runners on 1st-2nd and no outs, first batter lined out to 2B, 2B throws to SS at 2nd to get the runner before he tags up, SS throws to 1st to get that runner before he tags up. Boom, boom, boom. And again, pitcher's first action of AAA!

As for the former, there is no trophy for that but I agree with you, there ought to be one. Maybe they'll add it to '10s.

I disagree. All of the trophies in there now are ones you can work towards. A triple play is partially luck, something that only happens under freak circumstances and not really user skill.

How is it not "user skill"....? You run to 3rd, press triangle and throw it to 1st(square).

Well, yeah, I guess everything in the game requires a certain amount of skill. If you want to make that argument, I guess it takes "user skill" to navigate the menu system... you push the d-pad to the option you want and press X. However, getting a triple play opportunity is just as much based on luck. Compare that to other trophies like winning an online league, winning an MVP, having a long win streak, and it's clear that those are much more based on skill.

In rtts you get points for getting a ground ball and that's not luck, I pitch low and hard at the lower corners to try to influence a triple, and it works so I consider a skill in pitching

He told you. Triple plays require alot of luck as well, seeing as how the ball has to be hit in the right spot for it to be turned. Sure, most things require some user skill to some degree. Knowing how to turn the PS3's power on requires "user skill", but you don't get a trophy for it. The point is...unless the ball is hit to the right spot, all the user fielding skill in the world isn't going to help you.

Though I'll give you a trophy if you can tell me what company developed NFL 2K5.
