Possible fix for next year throw animations?

That's the one thing that you can notice a lot in this game is when you see replays, that when fielders throw the ball it doesn't leave their hands naturally as it should. It seems to stick in their hands a split second to long and sometimes it just looks weird.

I know its nit picking but I am at work on a Friday nite and hella bored!!!

Throwing needs A LOT more than adjusted animations. It needs a rip out and re-do.

Yeah.

I would like a meter that works better or has consequences. I think the one in there now is completely broken.

Also, I wouldn't mind analog throwing like EA had with the college baseball game. Too easy and mindless right now IMO and you feel you don't really control it.

I'm hoping the new player models make it into MLB 2010 and hopefully new throwing animations to go with them.

the catcher and outfielder animations are the worse

the catcher does a shot-put throw to second when a runner is stealing and outfielders purposely stop running while making a throw (and all outfield throws just look off, cant quite put my finger on what it is, but they dont look natural)

Re: Possible fix for next year throw animations?

I definetley agree with the OP. I notice the same thing. Hopefully they fix this to make it look better. Also hopefully they can really get the pitcher's release point perfect so you can really see the ball out of the hand. I can't stress how important this is.

Again not complaining but something I find funny....When the inning is over the 1b tosses the ball back to the mound. I am always watching it take this unnatural course. It's headed for the mound and then it just takes off towards the SS area. Instead of that it would be nice to see the 1B head straight towards his dugout and maybe toss the ball to a kid right above the dugout or something. Maybe make a cutscene of the kid catching the ball.

I also agree. I would like to see one other addition with respect to throwing. There are a few too many double plays, and I think one reason is SS's and 2B's can make such quick, accurate throws when they are moving away from second base. All but the best should have to stop and plant, or else risk a bad throw. Maybe not even an error, but something that can't be handled well enough to turn in time.

Re: Possible fix for next year throw animations?

i hate the CPU animations in the outfield especially....on high fly outs, the outfielders sometimes look like they are moonwalking or running funny in place as they get caught in the "tractor beam" that shifts them over to catch the ball.

i'm also so sick and tired of that sliding stop that infielders do so regularly and so many times per game. that NEVER happens in real life, and if it does, only by the slick elite defensive infielders.

I'll take all those things if it means gameplay changes to fix them. Thats why we have some of these bugs this year.....tried to change one thing and something else goes wrong. Give me this exact same game in 2010....just fix the bugs it has this year.
