Question the one thing thats still not in baseball games

the one thing thats still not in baseball games, that should be,is the ability to step out of the box and call time, when you are hitting, they have step off the mound for pitchers but ,still no call time when batting, how many times in big games, when its 2-2,or 3-2 that you were not ready for the pitch, and if you called time at the plate,it would give you more time to set and ready!any one els agree that this would be a nice small feature?i jsut still cant see why it not in.....?

if I'm not ready, I just pause the game.

Hmm thats a good idea...Might be worthwhile to add this to the wishlist thread...The SCEA devs do listen to all that is said

I like this idea bc sometimes that is part of the batter/pitcher duel. It could help to throw a pitcher who is on a roll off track. Look at what Beckett did to Abreu

I think he means as a strategic means. Like a mound visit for the Pitcher might boost or lower a pitchers confidence. A batter stepping out of the box calling time might increase or decrease his hitting ability during the next pitch, how much of an increase could be determined by their clutch rating.

oh thank goodness,i thought i was the only one who thought they needed to put this in the game lol, glad to see you guys like the idea, but yeah,i dont like the pausing thing cuz 1.i want the real feel, and 2.calling time would reset the pitch,if u pause, the pitch is still comeing no matter what you know, lol

This would be a great addition to the game. I wish someone would have thought of it before.

Talking Re: the one thing thats still not in baseball games

"Technically" it is in the game all ready. If you hold the right trigger (PS3) the strike zone "shadow" will appear. If you keep it held down the pitcher will set but won't throw the ball (or begins his windup) until you release that right trigger. I do it all the time to gauge the strike zone and prepare for a pitch.

(The right trigger corresponds to guess pitch location. so its the trigger you pull to guess a pitch or pitch location. This will still WORK even if guess pitch is OFF. The strike zone "shadow" still appears.)

Hope this help!

Very true. Still though, batter time outs would be a welcome addition. I think the OP should make a thread in the wishlist section or PM Russell or something. This needs to be in the game next year lol
