Tatis, Schneider, Beltran, Church, Murphy (all generic 1's)

Wright (assigned stance is same from '08), same with Delgado

I'm not even looking at the other players yet

unfortunately, the mere idea that there would be less work for those of us who edit, is insane. I'm sure there's going to be as much or even more editing...::smh::

in the roster thread some of the players still have hidden stances as well.

I know you really don't like me but thats besides the point.

I think the problem is the roster update. In the demo they had Evan Longoria's stance right but in the roster they shipped with the game they have his stance generic. I imagine that the roster update will correct some of these problems

While I understand your frustration there are 750 players in the MLB the Chris can't possibly get everyone correct or spot on. He doesn't just do batting stances. He's the lead animator he and the rest of the animation team have other things on their plate as well.

Most notably game play animations and presentation animations. The team gave you (i.e. everybody who bought the game) 700 brand new game play animations, 400 brand new presentation animations, 150 new personalized pitcher/batter animations not to mention they re-did over 100 more battings stances in the game. That's over 1,200 brand new animations in the game, not including the ones that Chris and the animation team tweaked.

I think thats a darn good offering for a ten month dev cycle, however we go through this every single year.

At this point I have two suggestions for anyone who isn't satisfied with the batting stances/pitching motions in the game.

1. Deal with it the team takes extreme pride in the product we give you each year and its never going to be perfect no matter how hard we try. The team works their as* off year in and year out to bring you the most realistic representation of MLB Baseball we can. However its still a video game and we can't possible get everything right or in the game every year.


2. If you want to put your frustrations to good use pm me personally and I'll give you an opportunity to contribute. Other than that I don't know what else to tell you.

P.S. Chris changed D.Wrights stance per Pared's request at community you need to talk to him about it if you think its wrong.

Yes, they don't have all the Mets. And yes, K-Rod's follow through is wrong.

I can't access the newest roster update (times out for me) but it does look like they were not able to get to all of the Mets.

And I don't see the gripe about Wright's stance. It's close enough. I even had them put BACK IN Wright's batting glove tightening obsession. On top of that, he motion capped the stance himself.

Beltran being a generic 1 tells me something is wrong. He specifically has his own stance in the game and in the pre-release roster update he was set to Beltran. However Murphy and Church were on generic 1 and did not seem to have their own stances.

Even as a Mets fan, I can overlook this. Unfortunately the Mets "changes" were not in during our trip so there was no way I could see if they got them correct.

Yeah...the deliveries seemed not too different from last year, but the stances I saw seemed much improved overall.

Maybe it's mostly a Mets thing as punishment for choking out of the playoffs the last couple years? I mean, it's not like they've earned anything...

Jokes aside, haven't looked at the Mets in detail yet (other than to tour their park) so that's a shame there are so many off.
