I think everyone that is complaining is actually missing the point of this new level. Even the hardcore gamers will still play within the confines of the levels that have always been available.

Legendary Mode is for when you had too much to drink and think you're the most powerful man in the world.

Its not for daily play.

Re: Legend Difficulty Level Un-Beaten by MLB Development Team

As a 16 year-old, I would consider myself a sim-gamer. I don't want to start a huge argument about the age issue. I have no problem with a new difficulty level. I probably won't play on it, but I want it to be as realistically as possible which means not getting blown to pieces by the computer. I will probably stick to all-star as I said earlier. I am probably in the minority of younger gamers(I really apreciate advice and help from the veterans), but not all of us are impatient ARCADE guys(or girls). I remember playing Triple Play 2000 way back when I was 7-8 trying to beat the computer by as much as possible, but not anymore. Sorry if I offended anyone, I just don't like being lumped into one group with everyone else.

Good for you! I totally agree. I know a few other guys, younger than you, that could run with anyone on this board when it comes to baseball knowledge. They would buck too if they heard that, because they're under 25, they must be arcade gamers.

Ha-ha! to that first part; ??? to that second comment.

Judging from the number of people who had an issue with the hitting in 08, I would guess that many if not the majority will be playing on Legendary from day one. And if HOF is as easy as it was last year and hasn't been tweaked at all, what's the alternative?

That's the bigger issue for me: a next-to-impossible Legendary difficulty is fine. But if the hitting on HOF wasn't fixed, then we're going to be left with an imbalance in the difficulty levels: a game that's too easy on HOF, and with too large a jump in difficulty on Legendary.

If they just gave us a slider that would adjust the bat coverage through the zone that would be a major step in getting hitting more difficult.
