All ya gotta do is set up a game in October....Legend or not they will collapse

On another note I noticed a little bit of panic from some members which is understandable to a degree pertaining to the what makes the mode harder than HOF.

Like I stated last week there will be an official explanation in the coming weeks on the Legend difficulty setting.

I have been playing the mode for a couple of months now and the first thing you will notice (as will the community day attendees) is everything is "tighter" on Legend. The timing windows for pitching and hitting are much smaller.

This makes pitching and hitting harder, because your margin for error is smaller than it is on HOF.

The other big thing for me is the pitching and hitting by the cpu. If it's an ace on the mound it might be a long day or at least that's how I feel. The top pitchers in the game so far are owning my soul. They bring it same thing with the sluggers in the game. You mess up and its over the wall. (At least that is how its been in my games.)

Hope that helps calm some nerves there aren't any 220 mph fast balls or any curve balls with a 4 foot break in them.
take this idea to the ad people NOW... lol...

"Sony's MLB 09 The Show's new legendary level, it will OWN YOUR SOUL!!" or something like that, and of course get the guy that does all the EA games voice overs to do it... that is how i hear it in my head at least.

or maybe something like... as scenes from the game are being passed by with the sound of a heart beat or something... "In the game of baseball you can be several things, you can be a rookie, a veteran, and all star, even a hall of famer, but only a chosen few can become LEGENDS!!Do you have what it takes to become one. Sony's new Lengendary level, it will own your soul!! "

yeah that is much better... dang it... i missed my calling as an ad rep... crap!!!!

Re: Legend Difficulty Level Un-Beaten by MLB Development Team

Let me clarify for those that may have taken my post wrong. In no way am I complaining about a harder level. I'm all for it. Asking if the harder level is based on strategy and not artificial boosts is not a complaint, just a question. If my post was not that reason for the "stop complaining" replies then disregard..

Anyways it seems Russell answered the question for the most part so were good.

That used to be me when I was 9 or 10 years old. I would score AT LEAST 60 runs a game in backyeard baseball, and rarely let up a run. Those were the days, nothing like putting up triple digits in baseball.

Re: Legend Difficulty Level Un-Beaten by MLB Development Team

I was a arcade baseball fan when i play Triple Play Baseball i would always go for HR hitters. I had a great time winning 14-2 all the time. Now im a sim baseball fan. I still hate losing 2-1 or 4-2 games but hey thats how it goes playing The Show.
