Indeed, you will now only be allowed to play MLB '08...and tell us how cool you think it is! Sorry 'bout that!

Allright this thread can now be locked.... just had to be sure Chris's banan i mean eyes were peeled & working hard.

Chris with his stickball bat & 3rd cup of coffee ready for more capturing.

I'm not doubting you guys at all. Just a little anxious for some information. Still no luck, so I'll wander back down to the depths of OS & wait it out patiently.

First the screenshot thread and now this...

Guys now hanging on every single word, image or video that gets published about the game...

Complain or rejoice; Either way, still looking like a solid title again this year that I'm sure most of us will enjoy.

Now does that mean that its more than 2k? I have no idea, but I see stances/delieveries being brought up over and over and I don't quite think they only meant those two things.

You hit the nail on the head. And shows without the proper comprehension, people jump the gun without any bullets.
Couldn't agree with you guys more. I'm surprised nobody pointed this out earlier.

Who in the hell is going after Sony on the guarantee? I was merely questioning it hoping that Chris or someone from Sony would fill us in on WHY they guarantee this. They have a competitor in 2K that's been consistantly adding new signature stuff for 3 yrs now. This year it's one of their major focuses once again. So unless Sony's going to give us some kind of specifics on why, then it's perfectly acceptable to question it.
Besides, alot of Sony's animations are from the PS2 version, so until most of those are scrapped & updated I don't count those. Now if they had specified NEW signature swings for most of the top batters, I'd be more inclined to believe their guarantee.

Did anyone even bother to fully read & comprehend my original post? (not specifically talking about you Jim)

Seems like most members on here don't read very carefully or even past the 1st paragraph.

Re: Sony might of jumped the gun on that guarantee

When you say they "better" do something and you're the one bringing up a guarantee is a guarantee, what are people supposed to think? You want to jump people and say that have no reading comprehension maybe you should check your writing. That can go both ways.

If you say you were misunderstood, cool.

The thing is though, they never guaranteed the most new stances, etc. They just guaranteed the most. It's a big difference and I don't think we get to choose which ones "count"...lol.

As I recall, The Show 08 technically had more individual batter and pitcher animations than 2K8 did. I'm merely talking selectable quantity here, not quality. It's clear that 2K8 had more accurate "signature styles" but again that wasn't what the little blurb stated.

I think this entire discussion has gone off-track into various people's interpretation of this guarantee. Remember, this is marketing that's being debated too...so there will be spin involved somewhere...lol.

I personally don't care about any of it. I just want the signature animations to be relatively accurate and a significant improvement over last year. The end
