as far as personalized stances and pitching motions go, i'm with jim in that i like them to be close but geez there are so many out there that are very similar, esp. pitching motions, now i do like to see ones that are different be correct, like lincecum (whos was close to me) and sabathias (whose wasn't even close to me).

I understand why some people are..but as long as they are close and there are enough to choose from.....

But eric...to say whoever has more is "the champion"?....are you serious?

I dont think that can make any game the champion, but it does add to the overall sim experience. Having the right batting and pitching stands is very important. That's what makes NBA2k shine over nba live, that when u shoot with iverson, lebron or kobe u feel like it's them shooting and not some random player. I hope the show gets the correct batting and pitching animations and stance in 09.

I think the "request window" has come and gone. These guys have listened to us the last year. If we don't like the final product, or don't think we'll like it....rent first.
I hate you guys for what you get to do! LOL Have fun with that guys. If you meet kolbe, tell him HR derby better be in the game becasue last year he said it would be in this year. He better keep his word or I will be forced to do nothin to him. I just hope the games are electric this year

Don't have time to read through the posts, but I hope someone already said this...

Why is it assume they both have the same amount of animations right now? SCEA could still be right if after 2008 they had 850 animations, and 2k8 had 600. Their statement would then still be correct.

Why do people who have little interest in batting stances and pitching motions being accurate have to come into these threads and say so? If it doesn't matter to you, fine. But it matters to a lot of us.

I couldn't give two hoots about MOM, but when people talk about it and make suggestions to improve it, I don't ever march in there and post about how MOM doesn't matter to me and I don't care about it. Let people who care about a certain part of the game make suggestions and ask for improvements.

When I pitch with CC Sabathia I want to really feel like I'm pitching with CC Sabathia. The correct pitching motions makes a HUGE difference to me. Same with batting stances.

Re: Sony might of jumped the gun on that guarantee

could it be that the reason not so many were added is due to them overhauling the player models next year and having to basically re-do the animations/stances/motions again? Just a thought

I've got to agree with this. I may not think it's important but what right do I have to completely discount someone else's ideas and call them irrelevant. If it doesn't interest you move on to a topic that does, seems fair enough to me.

You are totally missing my point.
Read my reply again....focus mainly on the last line.
